Exceptional Service and a Wonderful Long Stay

Staying ten nights in a hotel isn’t always recognized unless you’re part of a loyalty program, but that was definitely not the case here. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by smiling, welcoming, and genuinely helpful staff. Our check‑in was prioritized, and we were pleasantly surprised to be advised of complimentary spa treatments and a free return airport transfer, simply because of our long stay. This immediately made my wife and me feel truly special and welcome.We stayed in a Premier Deluxe Ocean View room, which was an excellent size. The bed was very comfortable, there were lovely sitting areas with cushions, and the bathroom was exceptionally spacious, featuring a deep two‑person bathtub—perfect for relaxing.The hotel’s location directly across from the beach was ideal, and we appreciated having the choice between the beach and the hotel’s two swimming pools, including one specifically designed for children.We also tried room service and were very pleased. The club sandwich and spaghetti bolognese were both served hot, generously sized, tasty, and great value for money.Overall, we would like to sincerely thank the staff for their consistently friendly and helpful service throughout our stay. Their warmth and professionalism turned what was already a lovely hotel into a truly memorable experience.

Ok for price paid but nothing to get over excited about in any shape or form.

We stayed as 2 couples for 3 ngts. We travel world wide as a retired couple regular. Hotel room ok, staff great, however laundry was a ridiculous price price, as touring through Vietnam we've had laundry done at couple other hotels. Price for half amount we had done under £3 , another same amount we had done £16 but at this hotel £64 !!!!!! We have never paid in Asia such ridiculously high price but was a needs must case !!!. One ngt we ate in restaurant of hotel & meal was diabolical, absolutely terrible, worse meal ever had in all of Vietnam however the breakfast in hotel was excellent, much to choose from & topped up etc. Area it is in easy enough to get anywhere using grab. Would we stay here again its a no. Purely because if we do not feel like going out of a eve restaurant food we had served & service not good enough, plus we like our laundry done & its not in keeping with anywhere else we have stayed ever in Vietnam to have laundry service, way to much money considering amount. Today now travelled on in a hotel same price but 100% better in all aspects plus laundry fraction of price !!!!

VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE

This is the most honest review you will find of this terrible hotel. I am writing the review just on my way back. We faced so many problems in this hotel. 1) The first morning the toilet was overflowing and there was a problem with the flush. I had to call plenty of times to the hotel staff and it took them 45 mins to come and rectify the situation. As a tourist, I believe none of us have time to wait that long and we could’ve miss my tour bus. 2) We didn’t receive any warning from the hotel regarding the loss of our room key and when we lost that plastic card key we had to pay 100,000 VND for another key.3) The housekeeping never refilled the shower gel. Since we didn’t have time to wait for them, knowing that they are very slow, we had to have our bath with the shampoo. The only good thing about the hotel was the breakfast spread. There are plenty of hotels opposite the beach in Dan Nang so if you can, do yourself a favour and stay at another hotel. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Would not recommend anyone to stay here even for a night. Highly disappointed as a frequent traveller.

Grand Tourane Hotel – 5 Stars on Paper, 2 Stars in Reality

The Grand Tourane Hotel may be rated as a 5-star property, but when it comes to customer experience and basic hospitality, it falls shockingly short.The most appalling issue is their water policy, which feels deliberately designed to trap guests into paying inflated charges. Each room is provided with just two tiny bottles of water (around 350 ml)—clearly insufficient even for one adult, let alone two adults and a child. At the same time, the minibar contains larger 500 ml bottles of water, which most international travelers would reasonably assume are complimentary.They are not.The entire minibar/bar menu is in Vietnamese, with no clear explanation in English that this water is chargeable. As a result, many guests—myself included—only discover at checkout that they’ve been billed for water they thought was included. I personally witnessed other guests expressing shock and frustration when presented with these charges.What makes this policy even more unacceptable is that the hotel does not allow guests to refill their own bottles at breakfast, despite having water filters available. This appears to be a deliberate attempt to restrict access to drinking water and force guests to buy overpriced bottled water from the hotel. In a tropical climate, denying paying guests adequate access to drinking water is not just inhospitable—it’s unethical.This is not what anyone expects from a so-called luxury hotel. Five-star hospitality should mean transparency, generosity, and guest comfort—not nickel-and-diming tactics that leave guests feeling cheated.The one genuine positive is the hotel’s excellent beachfront location, which is truly convenient and offers lovely sea views. Unfortunately, location alone cannot compensate for policies that feel exploitative and deeply anti-guest.If Grand Tourane wishes to justify its 5-star rating, it needs to seriously rethink its approach to basic guest care. Until then, this hotel delivers a 2-star experience at a 5-star price—and that’s being generous.
