  Booked hotel stay in Yalıkavak Marina Garden Hotel via Hotels.com on the 8th of October to realise I had put in the wrong date. Asked if I could cancel the booking within 5 minutes of making the booking through Hotels.com. Was told that they would try to get me a refund but the final decision was up to the hotel. After a few emails back and forth I was notified that the hotel would not budge, and was not even willing to give me back a portion of my full payment. Or provide a credit. Basically they are a greedy company who are not interested in customer service. I visit Bodrum every year. I will never use their hotels, or never recommend them to family and friends.Ayse Ozcelik

  I was not expecting much from this hotel due to little info online/reviews etc. And especially as reviews were focused on being near a construction site.I would like to say I was really happy with this hotel. I booked it due to the prime location just steps away from the marina. Staff - extremely welcoming, informative, smiley and helpful. Thank you to the ladies on reception.Room - Very spacious room with two tv’s and a sofa. Felt like a little apartment almost. The bed was very comfy. The bathroom was modern and clean too. Air con worked well. Minibar was welcomed too! Grounds & location - the hotel is small but cute and quaint. The hotel is on a corner so roads nearby but as a light sleeper this didn’t prove problematic. It didn’t feel roadside. The location was perfect for us as we spent most of our time at the marina and nearby areas. Also very close to the taxi rank. I believe the construction work has finished and for someone as high maintenance as myself, really couldn’t see/tell if there were! Facilities - I used the gym belonging to the sister hotel which was appreciated. You can pay €50 each to use the sisters beach for day too. I would 100% stay here again and recommend!

  Amazing Location & Great Hotel

  We had a great stay here. The room was very nice, the staff were very friendly, and having access to the swimming area at the sister hotel was a big plus. Breakfast was served at a lovely restaurant in the marina, which was a really nice surprise. The quality for the price is excellent. The location is outstanding—right by the marina with plenty of restaurants, shops, and things to do. Definitely recommend.

  Bad experience, poor communication.

  Bad experience right from the start. I made a 1 night reservation with Booking.com, £170 for the night as it was a special treat for my wife, this was non refundable!The next day the Hotel emailed me to say that the spar facilities were shut and construction work was ongoing which mean we would not have access to the beach. I was annoyed because I couldnt cancel and have my money refunded.I made my complaint known to the staff when I arrived there and was taken accross the road to the Marina complex and shown their facilities that I could use but at a cost of £55 each, which was insulting to say the least. Our garden view was of next doors garden which also had construction work going on. Managed have emailed me and offered discount the next time we visit which again is dreadful service as we should be compensated during our visit, I'm not traveling over 2000 miles for a bit of discount. Poor service and miss communication from management and staff. So £170 to sleep in a bed all night was all I got. Zero stars.

  Nice rooms - shame about the building sites

  I have a couple of issues, but first of all I must say that the rooms at the Yalikavak Marina Boutique Hotel are spacious, comfortable, very well appointed, spotlessly clean and, in spite of the nearby construction sites (more of which later), are relatively quiet - so we slept well and had a comfortable stay. And my rating reflects this.My first issue relates to the fact that the Boutique Hotel is closely associated with - but physically separate from - the Yalikavak Marina. So, to claim that there is an on-site restaurant, an on-site bar, an on-site beauty centre and an on-site gym&spa - when in fact all of these facilities are at least 100m away within the Marina itself - is, in my opinion, stretching the definition of ‘on-site’ a bit too far. Of the 54 ‘management provided’ photographs on TA, I estimate that only 11 were actually taken within the hotel. My second issue is not with the Boutique Hotel itself, but with the fact that it is currently bordered on two sides by enormous construction sites. The one to the side of the hotel is so close it almost felt like we could touch the excavation machines!But my main problem is the fact that “The private beach area, with free parasols and sun loungers” mentioned in the TA hotel description/listing and featured in several reviews of the hotel as recently as October 2020, is in fact now in the middle of an even bigger building site, directly across the road from the hotel - see photos. Now, I fully accept that this construction work maybe beyond the control of the hotel, but it would have been nice to have been forewarned of this significant ‘inconvenience’.I would advise anyone considering booking the Yalikavak Boutique Marina Hotel in the near future to first establish the status of the ongoing construction work.
