Like a Warm Hug Every Morning and Evening

    rating09 Dec 2025

We really can't say enough good things about Cave Art in Mustafapasha. My wife and I stayed there along with another couple for 4 nights visiting Cappadocia the first week of Dec. Mustafapasha is a quaint midevil village cental to everything you'll want to do, but away from the throngs of people in towns like Goreem. The hotel itself is a small multi-building historic stone villa with a courtyard. It has maybe 8 rooms total which all lead into a central castlesque courtyard, and is perched on a hill overlooking the town. Easy walking distance to local shops and restaurants as well as a short walk pas Roman aquaducts to the historical cave village surrounding St Nicholas cave church. The first night we arrived it felt like stepping into a fairly tale. Ancient doors greet you as you step into a carpeted hall and guest area lined with ancient stone, wood beams, and a small eating area with half a dozen tables, all of this overlooking their village. The owners eagerly greeted us and helped us get oriented. We had a rental car and followed the GPS to the hotel which initially took us up an extremely scary (to me) little side street. We had to stop at the bottom of the hill and walk up. But the father (Mustafa) went down and got our car and brought it up to an upper parking area which is much easier to access and we used that as our daily spot. Run by a father and daughter they offer up a fabulous Euro/Turkish breakfast each day with unique offerings like local olives, honey, cheeses, fresh veggies, meats, crepes, and a 24x7 tea/coffee station in their cozy guest area. The rooms are a combination of cave and vault, all modernized with updated baths, lighting, and wifi. We felt very well taken care of and the father insisted on moving our luggage from vehicle to room, for which we gladly tipped - the hilly cobblestone streets can be challenging. The town of Mustafapasha has enough dining and shopping and history that you'll want to spend a full day there just exploring the ancient history. A set of stairs takes you straight from the hotel to the city center, only a few hundred feet walk. Thank you Cave Art for creating a wonderful oasis to base out of during our adventures in the Cappadocia region. oğuzhan cılketmez, İşletme Sahibi at Cave Art Hotel Cappadocia, responded to this review Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a detailed and heartfelt review of your stay at Cave Art Hotel. Reading your words truly made our day.We are delighted to hear that you and your friends enjoyed the unique atmosphere of Mustafapaşa and felt the fairytale spirit of our historic village and hotel. Friendly family-run hotel with great breakfast

    rating07 Sept 2025

Mustafapasa was our first stop on our Cappadocia hiking trail. The Cave Art hotel is run by a very friendly and hospitable family. The breakfast is a feast for the eyes with almost a dozen home-made dishes served at your table, while you have a view over the village. The room was comfortable and naturally cool. There is a rooftop terrace ideal for an evening drink. Recommended!

    Amazing Authentic Cave Art hotel,Mustafapasa

    rating02 May 2024

Amazing experience. Authentic cave room, clean and comfortable. Owner and staff are friendly, helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay the best ever. From advice on where to eat and nearby attractions to offering amazing Turkish Kahve and tea! The breakfasts were tasty Turkish cuisine individually prepared and so fresh. The view from the breakfast room could keep me entertained all day albeit a hard choice because the view from terrace is even better. We sat on the terrace watching a thunderstorm and we were just in awe. Mustafapasa is also a hidden gem - a beautiful quaint village with a monastery, cave churches and such an interesting history of the population exchange with Greece.
