  Everything was fine until we forgot to pay for the balloon ride

  The property itself was great, the hotel was carved out of stone and we’ve never seen anything like it. In the mornings when the balloons were in flight it was the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen but this experience you can get from any hotel on the street. Outside of the front desk staff the rest of the staff wasn’t really great in the morning the breakfast buffet staff just stared at us and didn’t even attempt to respond when we tried to ask questions not even to tell us they didn’t speak English.Here’s where everything went wrong - The property offered to book us a ballon ride with their own company, upon check in we were told we had to pay with cash and couldn’t use our card. This was fine for us as we had decided to just go to the atm and pay that same night, the two attendants at the front assured us that it wasn’t a problem and we could pay after the ride the next day. The ballon ride was so much fun and so exciting we forgot to stop at the atm, as a matter of fact we forgot totally about payment as the experience had already passed. We stayed at the hotel for one more night and checked out the following morning, the attendants assisted us with getting a transfer to the airport to catch our flight . When we were boarding the flight we received a message via Instagram from one of the attendants reminding us we forgot to make payment, this was fine but as we were boarding the flight there was little we could do at that instant, he requested that we send our card information “via Instagram” for him to charge the “cash only” fees. We informed them that wasn’t an option and we would have to find an alternative solution. The following days we received threats and were harassed by the two attendants and one of their friends, what made it even worst was the communication barrier as they did not speak English very well. We did end up paying as we didn’t have any intention of not paying, but the way they behaved during the time we were trying to find a way to get it done without having to send our card via social media was ridiculous.I wouldn’t advise you to stay here or use their ballon service, there are tons of other hotels in the same area with great views and even better staff and service.

  Best Cave Accommodation!

  We were transferred here from Cappadocia Cave Rooms since their room was not suitable for that day due to a construction process next to the room. I am grateful to them because I honestly loved Sarihan Cave Hotel! The young guy at the reception was a little intimidating at first and then got used to me, the view from their terrace, their rooms and the way they have built their cave hotel is WOW .. I really wished I extended a night at their hotel. The breakfast was amazing considering it is a 2 star hotel, they provide breakfast with love, whole heartedly. The rooms are big and clean, and he helped us with our bags. I enjoyed living here, and I definitely do recommend anyone looking to go to Goreme to live here. The location is great because it is on the convenient side of the area, and easy to get to the hotel as well. I love it !

  This has to be the most wonderful unique and memorable hotel we have had the pleasure of staying in during our travels through Turkey. It wasnt the incredible room, nor the most incredible location on earth, but the most pleasant , courteous and helpful staff we have ever come across. The manager helped us in organising our future legs of our trip and was a pleasure to talk too. The breakfast provided was tradional and more than adequate to see us through to lunchtime. We loved our short stay here at Sarihan and highly recommend it to travellers coming to this wonderous part of the world.

  A place like home!

  It was a wonderful expierience to sleep in a cave. The air is fresh, the atmospehre is charming, the view is picturesque. The staff is so friendly. They immediately became our friends, in particular Ali. He was not annoying about excursions and stuff, but we had always nice converstaions! Thanks!
