    Outdoor Camping with AC

    rating16 Jun 2017

My husband and I traveled from Texas to the BSA summer camp Family Day and we wanted a hotel close by. This one won the booking.com cheapest rate. If you've ever slept outside in 100 degree weather with a multitude of bugs and no hot water, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!!! Upon mere opening of the door it reeks of cat urine and fresh cigarette smoke combined. As you get in you can see the filth. I'm telling you it was worse then roughing in the outdoors with 27 teenage boys who hadn't showered in three days! The smell was putrid! Gag a maggot awful. I wish I had just stayed at the Hood Scout Reservation! I can't even really describe it really. I'll let the pictures do the talking. We got to the hotel after 11pm; we felt safe in The area. There are plenty of places to eat and "shop" for things you may have left behind. Saturday's they have a farmers market across the street. The one 5 star thing about this entire hotel was that the AC was freezing. Which worked out for being hot all day in the blazing sun. I definitely would NOT stay here again to say the least. 😊 kinjal p, General Manager at Rodeway Inn, responded to this review Dear SirThank you for taking the time to complete our online survey regarding your recent stay at our hotel. Black mold

    rating23 May 2017

Staying in a place that is older or dated doesn't bother me as long as it's clean and maintained. This was not the case here. There were cigarette burns all along the edge of the tub, the was a bleach spot on the floor that was probably from cleaning up blood but even though I was tired, I wouldn't have stayed if I saw the black mold in the bathroom before morning. I wouldn't recommend at all. kinjal p, Front Office Manager at Rodeway Inn, responded to this review I would like to personally apologize for the series of unfortunate incidences that you experienced during your stay with us. We continually try to do our very best for all of our guests, but unfortunately, sometimes we do fail. I will look into each issue that you have noted, in an attempt to correct and improve our hotel policies.RegardsKinjal Patel

    DON'T BELIEVE THESE REVIEWS

    rating29 Apr 2017

We were driving I55 south. The weather was beginning to get bad; it was getting to be around 10:00pm; we needed a place to sleep. We travel extensively and have had many one night stays at less than four star places - much less than four star. On those occasions, all we ask for is clean & safe. We stopped at this place based on the reviews here - DO NOT believe the reviews. As we were walking to the inside courtyard to our room, several things happened almost simultaneously. First, there was a very loud party going on across the courtyard (it was after 10:00 pm). Second, the room had roaches in the bathtub. As we were walking back to the office to get a quieter, cleaner room, a police car came flying in the drive and stopped at one of the rooms. We didn't stay around to find out what the problem was. Take my advice and drive a few miles further to the south to Brookhaven, MS. kinjal p, Front Office Manager at Rodeway Inn, responded to this review I would like to personally apologize for the series of unfortunate incidences that you experienced during your stay with us. Great place to sleep.

    rating19 Apr 2017

After staying in 30+ hotels in 15 months, I can say this place is a little gem for the cost, and better than several at a higher price. Don't be swayed by the reviews from a year ago. Traveling on business, we need a cost effective, clean, quiet place to sleep, with truck /camper parking. The manager was a very friendly lady, making sure we got the kind of room we needed. There were several pickup trucks of working men in the parking lot. They were respectful and went into their rooms at a reasonable time. The room has been redecorated and was clean. They have the basics. The king bed was a little softer than I like, but I slept very well and so did my husband. The pillows were not flat like most budget hotels. The sheets were clean. The room was clean. They had 2 towels and washcloths, 2 bars soap, shampoo, 2 plastic cups and an ice bucket. The shower worked good. The refrigerator was cold and the freezer even refroze my ice packs. The microwave worked. The flat screen tv on the wall seems to work good. We didn't have time to check out the channels. WiFi worked as I used it for my phone to update. We didn't eat breakfast but it looked like they had coffee and cereal. There are several restaurants along the road; however, we waited 15 minutes for the McDonald's across the street to give us 2 breakfast burritos. The Rodeway Inn had several vehicles parked there when we drove up while the other motel parking lots on that road were bare which should say something about the place. So if you're looking for HiDef sports channels, hair dryers, coffee pots, indoor pools, fitness centers and a mint on the pillow, go pay $50 more at a Holiday Inn. Since we travel on business, when we find clean, safe, cost effective places, we return there when we travel that route again. This is one of those places. kinjal p, Front Office Manager at Rodeway Inn, responded to this review Truly appreciate your review, it is so pleasing to read that we met all expectations. We thank you the customers who take their time to inform us about it. Hope to see you again soon.RegardsKinjal Patel

June 30, 2016.Its hot in June in Mississippi , yet they were just filling the pool with water. Did not see them adding any chemicals. The room was smelly and towels were dingy , did not appear clean. Carpet was dirty and smelly.
