  Modern hotel conveniently located near Wien Hbf

  My husband, younger son and I stayed in a Family room for 4 nights.We had taken the train in from Salzburg and taking the train to Budapest after Salzburg, so the location was perfect as it is conveniently located near the Wien hauptbahnhof (less than 5 minutes' walk).The hotel is relatively new, modern. Water was refillable in containers provided in the lobby on the ground floor. Tram and bus stop were directly opposite the hotel so it was very convenient to get around for sight-seeing.Small downside is that surrounding area is a little quiet at night, and not a lot of restaurants/food options nearby.   The hotel is located just out of the Vienna Central Rail Station, which means quiet far away from the city center but with a very good connection with U-Bahn 1. The reception staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. If you are a member of the Leonardo Club, and even if you join on the spot, you may get early check-in and late check-out free of charge.The room is big, modern and comfortable. The sleeping quality is good, the desk is nice to work at and the lighting is fine. There isn't a lot of storage space, and in my room there was no door to the shower (the toilets are separated), which might be awkward even for couples and cold even for singles.Breakfast offers a big selection; Kosher keepers like me can have the toast (vegan bread), vegetables, fruits, eggs and dairy products. The overall experience and the value for money were very good. I will be happy to get back.   Great room, Great location, 24hr reception huge bonus!

  I picked this hotel purely because of the location as it was across the road from the train station so you can get the metro straight into the city centre with ease.The room was clean and just what we needed for a short stay and comes with a safe which was great. And you get 2 room cards without even asking for them. the room is also soundproof as well which is nice and the location of our room meant at night there was no noise from outside even at low level.The breakfast buffet was very good with a great selection of food, although I would have like to have seen more for the hot food but I'm being really picky.But the biggest tick for me was the 24 hour reception that they have as we had an early flight back home so you can book your flight at anytime and you are guarantee to have someone at the desk to check you out when you leave the hotel.Definitely recommend this hotel Christoff Seibert, Geschäftsführer at Leonardo Hotel Vienna Hauptbahnhof, responded to this review Dear Rossy679,Thank you for sharing such thoughtful feedback and for recommending Leonardo Vienna Hauptbahnhof.We are delighted that our location by the main station and easy metro access enhanced your visit.   Absolutely enjoyed our time at the hotel. The hotel is so central that it only takes a couple of minutes to get to the Vienna train station. All the staff we met throughout our stay were kind, friendly and helpful. The rooms were bigger than we expected them to be, and fairly spacious. The hotel offers a decent choice of condiments for breakfast however very little options for vegetarian and vegan. Overall our family enjoyed the stay. Would def recommend for families who are looking to situate ideally during their time in Vienna.
