  Amazing spa experience with Magda

  I had the absolute pleasure of using the Spa at Lyrsth Estate today. My therapist was Magda and she was amazing! I had a wonderful back, neck and shoulder massage, followed by a facial from heaven. The relaxation area and thermal suite were beautiful and the whole place was spotless. I didn't want to leave! HIGHLY recommend 👌

  This was my second time at this hotel and it was just as good as I remembered. Breakfast is really good with a mixture of hot food to order and also a buffet.There are two restaurants for dinner and both are very good with lovely decor and delicious food. The bar and grill is especially nice. The swimming pool is really lovely. It's in a room with nature views out the window and best of all, the pool is heated to a lovely temperature. There is also a small baby pool. If the weather is nice, the bar has an outside patio area set in the lovely gardens. The bedroom was huge with a very big bathroom too.It is a short drive into Kilkenny city and castle. Ideal location for a weekend away. We went close to Christmas time and the Christmas trees and decor in the lobby were just lovely.This is a luxurious hotel and perfect for a special occasion.

  R & R weekend Birthday Celebration

  We stayed at the Lyrath Estate Hotel for two nights. As it was a special occasion, we booked a Junior Suite. The room was lovely, spacious, bright and clean. An abundance of drinking water was provided. We had lunch delivered to the room and enjoyed this at the dining table. Turndown service was available each night. The room was equipped with tea/coffee facilities, robes, slippers, towels and all necessary lotions & potions. There wasn't a fridge in the room, which was a pity. Breakfast each morning was beautiful. Plenty of staff to ensure a smooth service. Self service buffet or order from the kitchen was available. The only thing missing was a glass of prosecco.We had dinner in the Grill Bar on both nights. Food was very good. I am vegetarian so was pleased to have a choice of three dishes, I had a different one each night, both were lovely. We did visit the Leisure Centre Pool with our grandson, it was perfect for that purpose, but too small for a serious swimmer. Very clean, warm and towels provided.in my opinion, the building needs a bit of freshening up. we had a cracked sink in our room, scratched floors - basically the whole building could do with refurbishment. the grounds are spectacular, with many walks marked throughout the estate. This in no way caused us any issue, we had a great time. The service from front desk, bar staff, restaurant staff & cleaners was outstanding. Friendly, helpful, professional the entire time. The excellent service far outweighed the need for a 'tidy up'I did visit the Spa, It was not too my taste. I'm not going to say anything else as everyone seemed to be enjoying it.

  Hotel with character. Staff very professional whole being very friendly and helpful. Food was good. Rooms are pristine and standard of cleanliness throughout the hotel is exemplary. There are interesting and very beautiful walking trails in addition to leisure centre and spa. Everything you could want in a very beautiful Victorian estate house.

  Absolute robbers. 55 euro for a bottle of prosecco that's 16euro in a spar. Made to pay for "still water" which is refilled bottles of tap water. Forced to buy flip flops to use the spa facilities, slippers from room not "efficient". Never felt more taken advantage of.
