  Do not stay on your here on your own

  Was made to feel very uncomfortable and vulnerable when I arrived at 2.30am as I was told "my friend was waiting for me" I had to repeat myself saying that I am on my own and not to send some man to my room! I then went to the bar to ask for some hot water when another older man was asking where was my husband whilst rubbing my back and was i on my own. I left the hotel at 8.00am

  We have just returned from 8 nights at Gorkem hotel. The hotel is basic however, it is clean which is the most important thing. There was an issue with the toilet seat being split which was resolved immediatly. The furniture needs to be replaced as handles are broken off so it is a bit tricky opening the wardrobes. The shower is powerful which is great. The beds are comfortable and we slept well during our stay. The pool area is lovely, you were always able to get a sunbed. There was a great vibe around the pool and everyone was very friendly and chatty. Yes, you have to pay £8 for the air con per day but this is a family run hotel not a big hotel chain so I had no problem with that. Breakfast is cereal, toast, fruit, cheese, ham, olives, jams, tea and coffee. Cooked breakfast was an additional cost as was things like scrammbled egg on toast. We had an evening meal at the hotel and the food was lovely. The hotel dog is adorable ?? would I stay here again, if I was doing a holiday on a budget then absolutley yes. Nice intimate hotel.

  I forgot to write my review on returning from our holiday, so here goes ??This was our 3rd visit to the Gorkem hotel so obviously we like it. Ilyas and the team are very accommodating and friendly. The rooms are basic but clean they certainly serve their purpose. The shower was hot and powerful. We usually get a room overlooking the gardens which are lovely. The pool is lovely and always nice and clean. The breakfast is Turkish but there are always bread for toast and eggs. English breakfast can be had for an extra charge. The menu for lunch and dinner is very good and so is the food. The area around the hotel is very quiet and surrounded by the mountains and Bagadag mountain, but there are plenty of restaurants and shops if you don't want to go into Hisaranou which is a short walk away. All in all we love visiting The Gorkem hotel in Ovacik and we will return. Thankyou for a lovely stay as usual. ??

  We have just returned from 12 nights stay in Görkem . We had lovely stay . Rooms are basic but clean . Aircon was 8 pounds a day but needed ,Pool area was perfect , no sunbed wars . Hisaronu is about 20 minutes walk away or you can get a taxi for 250 lira . Staff are friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Bonus points for free pool table. Cake man comes almost every afternoon and cakes are delicious. Definitely will be returning. Thank you Görkem for lovely stay

  Was in gorkem hotel ovaick for 16 days not far from tourist area 20 mins walk.hotel ok had to upgrade to a apartment 400 pounds .wasent staying in a box room.breakfast not good worst I've had even had to pay for orange juice in the morning. lovely pool area spotless clean.towels changed every 3 days.had meals at night was hit and miss.MUST TRY MILKSHAKES BEST IN TOWN. All the staff were pleasant especially the gentleman who was on nights a gent pleasure .no entertainment wouldn't go a miss.would I go again no hotel was very expensive also resort gone very expensive
