    Lovely hotel and staff

    rating31 Mar 2026

Rooms were clean and tidy, beds were comfy and black out curtains meant we had a great night sleep. Reception staff were very friendly and welcoming too. Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short as my daughter was poorly but would definitely got back to this hotel. Good stay but has its quirks

    rating08 Oct 2025

Stayed for two nights as part of a business trip. Room was compact (and dark) but met my needs during the stay. Bathroom on the small side but fine, although the shower was very tight to use.Housekeeping had a mind of their own and would try to service the room even with 'do not disturb' on the door. The strangest and perhaps most frustrating part of the stay was their refusal to not activate the air conditioning in the room. The receptionist was quite rude about this, stating that it's not that warm (it was) and that its not required. When did his comfort become more important than his guests? I was advised to open the window, which I did to the expense of my privacy (they opened inwards) and to traffic noise. They should be more clear about their policy on their website if the aircon is seasonal. Eventually the aircon was activated so I can only assume others complained too. Patrick Hayat, Propriétaire at Hotel Glasgow Monceau By Patrick Hayat, responded to this review Hello,Thank you for the thoughtful review and for staying with us on your business trip. I’m sorry for the frustrations you experienced.Room & shower size/light : Our rooms are indeed compact (classic Parisian building), but we understand the darker décor and tight shower can feel limiting. For a future visit, we can, subject to availability, assign a brighter room (street-side or higher floor) or a category with a slightly roomier shower, and provide an extra lamp on request.Do Not Disturb: Housekeeping should never enter with a DND sign in place. I’ve reminded the team and reinforced the procedure so this doesn’t recur.Air-conditioning & attitude at reception: You’re right—guest comfort must come first. Even if we operate AC seasonally, it should be activated on request when guests are warm. I’m sorry for the tone you encountered and for suggesting the window as the only solution. We’ve addressed this with the team and clarified that AC should be enabled upon request, with fans offered as a backup. We’ll also make our seasonal AC note clearer in pre-arrival information.Thank you again for the balanced feedback. If you return, please contact us ahead of time with your preferences; we’ll do our best to tailor a more comfortable stay.Best regards,The Hotel Management
