  Very disappointing...belongings are not safe

  We stayed at Minu hotel for 4 nights. Since we had a lot of cash on us as we are planning on staying in Turkey for 15 days , we decided to not carry all the cash with us. We took the amount we needed and kept the rest in the hotel room well hidden IN OUR LUGGAGE. The 5th night in Fethiye, I booked a different hotel. The 5th day was my husband’s birthday and I had booked a 5 star hotel for one night. The 6th day, we left Fethiye for Antalya. When we checked in at our hotel in Antalya, my husband decided to recount the cash in our luggage. That’s when he realized SOME of the cash in the enveloppe left in the room at Minu hotel in Fethiye everyday for 4 days was missing. We are missing 500 euros and 100 Canadian dollars. On the 5th day, when we went to a different hotel, no one else went in that room as it was already cleaned prior to us arriving and the money and our belongings were with us at all times so we know for sure it was stolen at Minu hotel. During the 4 days, we always left the hotel around 11 am and always back in late afternoon and housekeeping came everyday. The cash was well hidden so we did not even think of checking and counting it until we arrived in Antalya. We had already exchanged what we needed for Fethiye, so in the enveloppe, we had 1120 euros in the enveloppe and 750 CAD. We left it in our luggage and we were going to exchanged some of it in Antalya. When we arrived in Antalya, we had 620 euros in the enveloppe and 650 Cad. We have a feeling that the person was taking a bit from the enveloppe everyday. It was well hidden in our luggage but our luggage was also open as we had so many clothes and only carry ons so we feel like as it was already open, they just went looking inside. We contacted the tourism police and the minister of culture and tourism. Unfortunately, nothing can really be done as there are obviously no cameras in the rooms that can prove anything. We consider the money at this time gone but thought we would warn others. It is also very noisy at night as it is located next to a club.

  Money stolen in my hotel room by staff member

  ⚠️ Warning about Minu Hotel – Fethiye ⚠️My wife Saima and I stayed at Minu Hotel in Fethiye from September 13 to 17.Unfortunately, during our stay, money was stolen from our hotel room, most likely by a member of the staff.We had some cash hidden inside our luggage. Despite being well hidden, someone went through our bags. Housekeeping came every day while we were away between 11 a.m. and late afternoon.The thief didn’t take everything, but stole 500 euros and 100 Canadian dollars.If I wasn’t the type to regularly count my money, I probably wouldn’t have noticed.To make it clear: I arrived in Turkey with 750 CAD as an emergency fund, untouched. When I checked, I only had 650 CAD left. That money was definitely stolen.We reported this to the hotel immediately, but we never received any updates.This is extremely disappointing. Visiting Turkey has always been a dream for us, and we still love the country. But it’s sad to see this kind of behavior from a hotel we trusted.If you’re planning to visit Fethiye, think twice before booking Minu Hotel.

  First night in Turkey.

  We stayed here on our first night in Turkey, prior to walking the Lycian Way. The hotel is a great location for the harbour front and the old town. It is spotlessly clean and well looked after. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. There are amazing Lycian ruins nearby to explore.Our only niggle was that there is a club very close by and we were kept awake until 01:00 due to the loud music and singing. So take some ear plugs.

  Beautiful, artistic designed hotel in centre of Fethiye

  The staffs were amazing, very friendly and knowledgeable of the town. The location is great, only across the street to the seafront walk with parks, restaurants, boats... very pleasant, lively area. The breakfast was very good and variety. My room was well set up, modern and very comfortable. It was a good choice for me to stay in Fethiye. The market is right at doorstep, it made easy to find places for coffee and meals. I would love to stay at Minu if I come to Fethiye again and stay a bit longer in Fethiye was in my mind when I left for Pamukkale.

  A lovely hotel near the boardwalk

  We were in Fethiye in the middle of February during our trip to the cities of the Aegean region. For a night we decided to stay at a hotel and chose Minu Hotel due to its location which is close to the sea front and the city centre as well.The hotel inside is lovely designed in light colours, the room was absolutely clean and provided with the necessary toiletries, slippers, towels etc.The workers of the hotel are undoubtedly kind people who are eager to help with a piece of advice or any request whenever it's needed.Speaking of the breakfast, there was a rich choice of options including traditional Turkish breakfast, cereals, muffins, handmade cakes, fresh fruits, dry fruits and nuts, juices, tea, coffee and so on!To sum up, the hotel is a nice place to stay at, so I definitely recommend it to everyone who is searching for a hotel in Fethiye.
