Relaxing, pretty resort with friendly welcoming staff

    rating10 Nov 2025

This a delayed review of our stay at Montana Pine, but we had such a fabulous stay that I wanted to post a review! We travelled as a family of three (two adults and a three year old) and stayed in one of the Valley rooms for our 9 night stay. It was a last minute booking and travelling with a three year old, we wanted an all inclusive resort that was also relaxing and away from busy tourist areas. Montana Pine was perfect and we would definitely return! We were initially placed in a relatively small room which wasn't really suitable for us but after a couple of nights, we were moved with no issues at all. The rooms and resort as a whole are very clean and it is clear that the staff take pride in their jobs. Forgive me as we didn't note down individual names but the reception staff were always very helpful and arranged a specific private transfer for us, which our son loved! The female receptionist always made the effort to wave and chat to our son, as did the restaurant staff and the "ice cream man" as he was known to him! Our son is quite shy so took a while to warm to everyone but they were all so lovely and attentive. The food was ideal for what we wanted and there was always a good selection. We discovered the smaller lunch buffet by the large pool, which is where we ate most lunch times. The entertainment was fun and varied. To be honest, we couldn't fault Montana and it was the relaxing break that we needed. Thank you!

Stunning views but would not return

    rating08 Nov 2025

Arrived late at the hotel after a delayed flight from Manchester. Taxi dropped us off at a gate lower down than the hotel in the dark. We had no idea where to go, and struggled up the steep path with our suitcases. Got to the top of the path to see lots of people outside enjoying the live band which we could hear where very good. Still no idea where to go!My husband went over to the bar to ask and we were told where the reception was. Checked in with no problems and a lovely man helped us with our cases to our room. The room was lovely, large and clean although a bit dated but we had a wrap around balcony and I could see even in the dark what a lovely view we were going to wake up to. We unpacked after a long day and sat out on the balcony with some duty free drinks and listened to the live band. There was food left for us in the fridge and juice which was a nice touch. Absolutely stunning views the next morning we could not have been happier and glad we chose this hotel. We went to breakfast, and whilst the choice was not great we had some lovely omelettes cooked in front of us, but alarm bells were already starting to go off with what we saw. I’ve never been to an all inclusive hotel where the staff looked so miserable, one member of staff looked half dead dragging plates from the tables. As soon as you had finished your last mouthful a staff member would descend on you and remove your plate in a flash! We never saw in the week we were there a member of staff smiling in the restaurant. Lots of signs saying taking food from the restaurant was forbidden, I’ve never seen anything like it. No service in there whatsoever, you were lucky if they offered you a glass of water. This is supposed to be a 4 star plus hotel! We were very disappointed and this was our first morning. We went for lunch later that day and the service and the food was terrible. I asked a member of staff if my husband could have a glass of wine and he looked as if he could murder us. Little did I realise then that you were supposed to go and get your own drinks. The food for the rest of our stay was the worst I have ever come across in an all inclusive hotel. The choice of meats and if you ever saw any fish was of poor quality and swimming in grease. I saw lamb once during our stay which was full of fat, grease and bones and fish in some sort of greasy stew, no idea what the fish was! One night there was mash on display but nothing to go with it. On our last night the main meat dish in the restaurant was chicken wings! As I said the food quality was poor. My husband and I are foodies and the highlight of our holidays is eating lovely food, if you are like us avoid this hotel. We did try the snack bar but I was put off when I found a hair in my pizza. Wd had ice creams a couple of times which was very nice . We tried the Al la Carte and this was no better than the main restaurant after paying a surcharge. We ate out for the majority of our stay and only had breakfast at the hotel. Now comes the problem with the drinking glasses which must have been years old, at first I thought my glasses were dirty and had not been washed properly, no just marked to death on many occasions. The highlight of our stay was the lovely guys behind the bar, they worked so hard and always had a smile on their faces. They did serve great beer and proper Gordon’s gin and Schweppes tonic, I was not too fussed on the wine or cocktails. There was bars around the hotel but some where not open when we stayed and the three pools were absolutely freezing, no one was ever in them. I cannot comment on the spa as we did not use it. Our room for the entire stay was kept spotless and lovely clean towels every day. We did use the shuttle bus into Olu Deniz but there was no room on the way back and the shuttle drove past us despite there being a big queue with other guests from the hotel but it was very cheap to get a taxi back to the hotel. I have been to Turkey many times but never to this area before which was lovely and I would return but not to this hotel The hotel whilst situated in the most amazing area needs an update if they want to keep advertising this as being a 4 star plus hotel. How TUI can justify this rating I will never know. In my opinion 3 star at most. The hotel has potential but a lot of money needs to be spent for it to be anywhere up to a standard of 4 star plus hotel.

    Chilled escape but wouldn’t revisit

    rating07 Nov 2025

I can’t quite decide why this hotel didn’t float our boat - let’s start with the positives…..Grounds - absolutely stunning, beautiful gardens, very well kept and not one piece of litter in sight. Fantastic views from the sunset bar across to the lagoon. Cleanliness - our room was kept immaculately clean. Fresh towels every day, bottle of water, beds made. The communal areas were also cleaned to a high standardPools - three pools in different locations within the grounds. No sunbed wars and free pool towels. Here is where the negatives start….all three pools were freezing, nobody in themexcept a few brave children (one did have a wetsuit on). Rooms - although very clean they are very dark and dated. We had to have the light on at all times. I know you don’t spend a holiday in your room BUT if you enjoy waking up to the sun peeping through the curtains/blinds this is not the place for you. Also, initially we were allocated the room nobody wants - 2435. It overlooked a small holding with a cockerel that started being noisy from 4am!! It was constant and resulted in 4 hours sleep on our first night. We asked to be moved to be met with ‘not much availability for rooms, as at capacity’. Really? It was October, there were pool bars areas shut, only 30% full at the pools. In the end we were shown two rooms - one would be extra per night though. We chose the standard room, as that’s what we had booked - we weren’t asking for an upgrade just to be in an adequate room. This room (1814) was larger, had a wrap round balcony and a modern bathroom with walk in shower.Food - hmmm, well there was nothing particularly bad about it but it was all very bland. Evening - I can’t comment on the meat as avoided it. It always looked like it was bubbling away in a sloppy sauce of some description. The salad bar was okay so I normally opted for fish (if available) and a salad. Breakfast - better than evening choices, liked the omelette option being cooked for you. Lunch - usually went to the pool bar. Nice salad choice with either pizza, pasta, burger available. BEWARE - the second day we visited the pool bar for lunch, as we saw it was all laid out. I wasn’t really aware of the time - knew it was about 1ish but actually unaware what time the lunch started. I picked up a plate to proceed with selecting from the buffet, a staff member stomped over, told me to put my plate back as it wasn’t 1pm. I went back to our table to check the time with my husband - 12:57!! Two minutes later, the same staff member came back and said we could start. She was very stern and needs to learn some customer service skills.Area- it is remote but we knew that. There’s a minibus from the hotel to take you to the beach. We walked along the Lycian Way - fantastic views. Olu Deniz is a bit run down - the lagoon is not as nice as it looks online - lots of litter, a few broken sunbeds and silly prices at the beach clubs. We enjoyed the cable car to Babadag mountain - again fantastic views. Fethiye was a nice afternoon out with a few shops and marina.

Choose wisely, poor food, basic accommodation, Not 4*.

    rating06 Nov 2025

Beautiful setting and surroundings, well kept grounds and pleasant staff.Sadly that’s where the good bit ends. Room, allocated standard room. Cramped and poorly furnished. Small hanging space for clothes, no drawer space at all for clothes. Just 3 grubby wooden shelves. On arrival no stool for dressing table and only one bedside table. My husband resorted to using his suitcase on end next to the bed. But I guess there was no other storage to put the suitcases.Following an assertive conversation with reception both an extra bed side table and a dressing table stool were delivered. Although the stool was small and the fabric pretty disgusting.Fair play to the cleaning staff they did a good job every day and were pleasant. The food? Well breakfast and lunch were ok, but the evening meal not so great, unless you want your meat dishes swimming in some kind of dishwater. The pools although very pretty were unusable because they were freezing, very few people braved them. The complimentary shuttle service to Oludeniz was useful but restrictive. On par I think the worst value holiday ever
