  Amazing holiday all round

  We had the most incredible stay at the Volvo Apartment in Royal Orka Hills! The apartment was immaculate, fully equipped with everything we needed—including reliable WiFi—and the views of the mountains and pool were absolutely breathtaking. It quickly became our favourite spot to relax and soak in the beauty of the surroundings.A huge shoutout to the management team—so attentive, helpful, and always on hand. Truly the best service we've ever experienced! The beds were unbelievably comfortable, and every corner of the apartment was spotless.The location is perfect too, with a taxi button conveniently placed right opposite the main gate—ideal for evenings out.This was one of our most memorable holidays, and without a doubt, we’ll be booking again!

  FABULOUS APARTMENT SUPER HOST

  I booked this apartment for myself and my husband via Booking.com, listed as 'comfort design peace of mind' which was situated in the Orka Royal Hills Apartment complex in Oludeniz, Turkey. First off, I would like say that the owner/host, was simply the best and couldn't do enough for us during our month-long stay. Unfortunately, the holiday didn't get off to the best start owing to the fact that when our taxi arrived at the apartment, our host wasn't there to 'meet and greet' us due to him being delayed which led to a certain amount of stress as we had no idea which apartment was ours. Our taxi driver did eventually track down the cleaner who was able to point us in the right direction and provide a key. Phew! What a relief. Our host arrived shortly after and was most apologetic. Tip : Make sure before you arrive that you have been provided with arrival instructions i.e. a video which the owner will send you prior to arrival which will take you to the front door. Once we were inside, the apartment more than lived up to our expectations. It was modern, spotlessly clean, light and spacious, large balcony and a more than adequately stocked kitchen. Fantastic rain showers in both bathrooms with lashings of extremely hot water! The beds were comfortable for us but mattress comfort is a personal choice. It had a very large 'smart' television with access to Netflix and U-tube. The wi-fi was good (most of the time!) but our lovely host was on What's App so we were able to contact him whenever we had a problem either with the wi-fi, internet or electricity blackouts, usually as a result of several spectactular thunderstorms. The swimming pool was huge and my husband had it to himself most of the time during our stay. However, you had to be 'hardy' to get in it as the water was so cold. No chance of me even dipping my toes! As it was coming to the end of the season, it was very quiet in and around the complex so plenty of sunbeds for the limited amount of guests. For information, the patio doors overlook the main car park (not the swimming pool) but the views of the surrounding countryside were stunning. Royal Hills is located up a winding, unmade, mountain road, surrounded by pine forest, extremely quiet (apart from barking dogs!) and without a car, only accessible by taxi which can be 'summoned' by the taxi call button across the road. One will usually arrive within 10 minutes so we didn't find this to be a problem. However, Royal Hills Apartment complex turned out to be a lot more 'remote' than we thought it to be. The apartment itself is accessed by either parking on the same level as the apartment, or a flight of stairs from the main car park, another flight of spiral stairs to the apartment door (no hand rail) and once inside, another flight of spiral stairs (with a handrail) up to the bedrooms. Something to think about when booking. However, if you are able-bodied and stairs aren't a problem, then I would highly recommend staying at 'comfort design peace of mind'. You won't be disappointed. Thankyou once again to our brilliant host who insisted on being there to wish us 'bon voyage' when we left .

  We stayed with grandchildren at D6. Everything was perfect, excellent location as fresh mountain air and very well maintained gardens. I have stayed at many places in the area over the kast 20 years, this is the best. Every trip out we rang the taxi bell located at the gate, very reasonably priced for more that 2 people. The apartment had everything we needed, comfy beds and amazing soft pillows. Huge balcony overlooking the pool. Would definitely return. Thank you so much David and Lillian for sharing your happy place with us.

  A sting in the tail in more ways than one!!

  Just finishing a 3 weeks stay in apartment C1. We booked through booking.com in the UK. The apartment is managed by the Orka Hotel in Ovacik which is about 2km from the apartments. They do run a shuttle bus between the 2 which is available on request. Our experience is that this is fairly unreliable and on one occasion we waited almost 1 hour for it to arrive.There is a taxi button outside the gate but you are better off ringing for a taxi. The journey to town costs 20 Lira The apartment itself is okay. There is a 2cm burn mark in the settee in the lounge area and the downstairs toilet has a partially broken glass shelf. The beds are rock hard and you sleep on them rather than in them. I guess some prefer it that way.The air con in the apartment in the lounge when operated tripped the electric meter and knocked the power off. We complained on the 11th Aug, 3 days after arrival and had to complain a further 3 times before it was fixed. In addition the oven and microwave did not work correctly. This was reported to Ahmet at Orka at the same time as the air con and eventually after involving Booking.com and a hotel manager at Orka the microwave was replaced with 4 days holiday remaining. The oven was never repaired despite misleading comments by the hotel manager to Booking.com. I have photographic evidence of this.I also have an audio recording of a meet with the hotel manager which lasted 42 mins. He accepted the faults but tried to imply I had not reported the issues when stated. Alas I will continue this battle upon return to the UK with Booking .com.Finally and whilst nature is nature be very wary of coming here with younger children. The pool area is plagued by bees and wasps. I was stung on 4 occasions. The bee problem is due to hives being located near to the complex. A local resident told me these had been recently moved back byt clearly the problems continued.it does indicate that there have been some previous complaints and discussions between Orka and the hive owner. Indeed this was confirmed in my conversation with the manager. I have young grandchildren who were not on holiday with me but who would not have used the pool area. Most of the bees congregate at the pool edge presumably for a drink.We met one family who had booked an adjacent apartment who having arrived to find bees in their room re negotiated their booking with their holiday company to stay elsewhere. They did have young children.Booking .com advertise a daily maid service which until I complained did not happen. Again the manager said the hotel did not provide it despite being shown a screenshot if the advertised condition of a maid service They also advertise a pool bar The bar is there but not operational and again confirmed by the manager as not being a facility provided despite the clear advertisement to the contrary by Booking.com.The nanager changed his stance on this after being challenged by Booking.com to say it was occasionally open. This was not what he said when we spoke which has been fully recorded.

  Nice quite place on the hills away from the town.Great views on mountains from the balcony when you can relax watching sunsets.Big enough swimming pool with kids pool, small indoor pool and gym available.The apartments are huge and clean, houskeeping and free shuttle service available from Orka Club Hotel & Villas.Good spot if you like to relax away from crowdy places but also to be not too far from them.
