  Great location, very nice rooms, loved the artwork

  I loved this hotel!! The main floor was very cool with all of the artwork and eventually I visited the gallery in the basement, what a nice bonus to be able to look at all of the beautiful and interesting artwork while at the hotel. Everyone was so nice. I had booked the trip quickly which didn't allow for much time to learn many Turkish words and phrases (which I think is the right thing to do and makes the trip more enjoyable), but the hotel staff spoke enough English for us to be able to communicate the necessary items. When we had a little problem with the shower handle, they were on top of it and had it fixed right away. I loved the marina view room - we had a little balcony and I liked to sit out there with the coffee I was able to make in the room, There was a small fridge which surprised me! The rooms are large and in perfect condition and smartly decorated. The bathroom was amazing, beautiful marble, very nice size. The opaque glass bathroom door wasn't my favorite (I prefer more privacy) but I saw that in the pics ahead of time and chose a room where the bathroom door was not visible from the room. The area was perfect for what I wanted, walkable to some other places to eat and some little markets so I could pick up fruit, snacks, water bottles, etc. The area was very residential with a mixed style of some older more traditional and many newer buildings. I would definitely go back to this hotel again.

  The hotel has everything within walking distance. There is park near by so you can enjoy a run or cycling. We booked a sea view room which had a partial view only however was very spacious and modern. As it has a bar, it might get a bit noisy in the evening. We were double charged by the reception. Upon arrival we were charged however as per another person it was not updated therefore he charged again. When we showed the both transactions, we were promised refund. Still waiting for it.

  Beautiful boutique hotel convenient to shopping and restaurants. Very large beautifully renovated rooms with great food and drinks at the bar/restaurant. Request a room with gorgeous view of the marina to watch the sail boats come and go. The artwork and gallery made the space even more unique. My family stayed a week while visiting Istanbul, then upon our return to the city, stayed another couple days due to the comfort and convenience.

  39 Kalamış Marina is an excellent venue to stay for couples, families as well as business travellers. It has a relaxed vibe and a georgeous bar/restaurant located at the front. The building also hosts an art gallery at the basement and top floors - beautiful pieces to see and buy. Just across the road you can access one of the marinas and a large waterfront park which is quite safe to stroll. The hotel is in a well-established residential neighbourhood in walking distance to many shops and cafes. Our room was one of the smallish ones, clean and comfortable with A/C. The building next door was being demolished when we were there so there was some noise during daytime when the balcony door was open. What can be improved is the facilities in the room (need more/better hangers, a small table and chair to work) and the in-room lighting. Currently the lighting consists of a few spots placed in the ceiling creating strong shadows on one's face. May be good to display art objects, but not for doing your make-up!   Great rooms with paper thin walls

  This is a beautiful hotel. All the interiors are decorated tastefully and my room was massive. The bed was so comfortable. I just wish I could have used it longer, like I planned to. But alas, the neighbors in the room next door woke me up regularly with their activities… the walls are very thin.Additionally, the doors do not close silently, so each room’s banging doors are an irritant.Aside from this the restaurant serves delicious food though the waiters need more training in English.If you are a non Turkish speaking guest, there’s a significant gap in communication.Overall, it’s an absolutely clean and beautiful hotel in a lovely area of town. Just bring earplugs.
