    Didn't Get the Room Booked and Paid For

    I booked this hotel through Delta Stays. The positives are that the location is great and close to all of the major sites in Istanbul, and that the bed was comfortable. But I didn't get the room type I booked and paid for. I booked a superior double room and got some subterranean room with a view of the outside of the kitchen area that was used to store things. And hotel/restaurants employees also went out into that little area to smoke and check their phones right by my window - so that was my "view" for 5 nights. I had to close the window and blinds so smoke didn't get in the room and also so employees couldn't look into my room. Based on the hotel's website and the photos, I got an economy double room, not a superior one. The room I had is pictured in the economy room photos and I clearly only got a double bed, as opposed to the king size bed in superior double rooms.The shower attachment in the bathroom was also functionally broken and slid down the pole or fell off it. I finally got it to stay in one place and was able to use it - but it was a struggle. The air conditioner also didn't work at first (it had a P5 error), but they did fix that at some point during my stay. The other thing that was problematic to me was that when you check in you get some spiel about what to do and different tour options. I haven't had any pitch like that at any other hotel anywhere in the world. I didn't like that vibe. You get enough of that in Istanbul otherwise. I just wanted a place to stay and relax. The breakfast was also only so-so. The dried fruit had seeds in it and the cakes looked good but were mostly tasteless.
