bad experience...
25 Aug 2017
While we are looking for the hotel , we saw this place and decided to stay 1 night. Firstly we loved the ambiance . While we we were waiting for room, they offered us coffee and we paid room cost. But when we went to the room, we saw that the room was not clean and we wanted to them clean it again... it was ok. and we told them we had to go early in the morning. But when we wake up, everywhere was closed and there was no one to order a coffee and breakfast. we waited until 9 and i called the owner . He said ' its Agva and breakfast opening time is 9:30, everywhere is the same' !!!After that, somebody came and open the door on the river side . the important thing was, we could not watch the river and even enjoyed our trip...

Never pay in advance
28 Jan 2015
We made a transfer during reservation. We reserved a room in the hotel complex never the less were offered a house out of the hotel complex. We did not stay as we have young children and the house has no facilities. They promised to make a refund but did not make it. Never pay in advance! Money trap. Don't get fooled by reviews.

A case of not trusting review(ers) !
31 Aug 2014
Drawn by a very high rating on booking.com we decided to book a last minute romantic getaway and booked the 'penthouse room' for 125 euro per night. Pricey for that location but we figured if its a nice room it will be worth it.Well, to cut a long story short, it wasn't and we didn't stay beyond the first night (we even contemplated leaving immediately). The 'penthouse room' is a joke. I am 1.89M, not the tallest person in the world but there is only one place to actually stand up in the 10M2 room. Its the attic that has been used, despite sloping rooflines in every direction to cram a bed into it. In the bathroom I could only pee sitting down, its that crazy small. It is also very noisy, you can hear everything from the room next door..If I had paid 25 euro instead of 125 euro its fine, but I hate it when properties over sell like this.I had another good look at the "reviewers" on trip advisor for this property and I think it smells. It is not only the brochure language some "reviewers" use. It is also the fact that a lot of the (turkish) ones have 1 review only. A case of I should have looked better. Now regarding the hotel, apart from the crazy room an objective review of the rest of it. We were "welcomed" by a tired (?) and weird "manager" who acted like a grumpy old man when checking us in. We went as fast as possible to the deck on the riverside, the best part of the hotel, only to have to wait about 25 minutes for a bottle of rose. The waiter (nice enough) didn't want to bring us the bottle when we asked him (he had been 'playing' too long behind bar counter and we wanted to know that we were not drinking from a previously opened bottle. As he put down the cognac glasses (!) filled with over half a bottle of rose, he decided that it was not a good plan to put the bottle on our table in bucket of ice (he complied after his boss told him 20 minutes later btw). It was around 6PM and we were a little hungry and wanted to have a bite with our rose. This was met by surprised/confused smiles (everybody was nice enough by the way) but when I asked for some peynir, a view pieces came out with a cut up apple. (HINT: create a nice cheese platter for your guests on your menu, I am sure this sarap & peynir 'idea' will catch on..)We were afraid the dinner was going to be awful and getting ready to move elsewhere but the mixed grill of chicken and kofte was fine. Nothing spectacular or special but tasty and fine. The room prices are halfboard so dinner is included, as well as breakfast. The owner visited us on the deck before dinner and asked us how we were doing. Since my gf judged he was genuinely interested we gave him our feedback (room terrible !, reception luke warm) and he was not happy to hear. He listened to our story and actually offered us to leave and get a refund which was took the next day (so one day refund) when we were fresh enough to leave.Don't get the penthouse room, its a joke at that price, but the joke is on you :-(

Perfect for lonely travellers
12 Nov 2013
stayed here at kapim for 2 days when I was planning for an escape from the city. After a research I found this has the best location as it is close to the center short walking distance but also has one of the best views as its located right on the river and it's completely green on the other side of the river. It looks even more amazing when the hotel team project lights in the evenings. The hotel management team is very friendly and helpful. It's a perfect location for lone travellers as it's a family owned business. The managers take you for a boat ride and you can use the river-bikes for free. I think I found a good place where I can always return to every time when I escape the city :)
