Location

The hotel is 5 minutes away from the closest tramway stops (Sultanahmet and Çemberlitaş). Guests will enjoy an ideal location in the heart of Sultanahmet which is the historical peninsula, just a few steps away from all of Istanbul top sightseeing attractions such as Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and Grand Bazaar.

Facility

40 non-smoking rooms, including 10 single rooms, are located on 7 storeys and can be reached by lift. English- and German-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. Additional facilities include a TV room. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service (for a fee), a laundry service, a page service and a hotel shuttle bus. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a photocopier.

Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Most units have a sea view. Guests are sure to get a good night's sleep in the double bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a DVD player and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Slippers are included. Bathrobes and a telephone are provided in the bathrooms, which include a shower. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Family rooms are available for parents with children.

Fine weather can be enjoyed on the terrace. Activity coordinators organise an entertainment programme for adults and children.

Various dining options are available, including a café, a bar and a lobby bar. The non-smoking restaurant provides high chairs for children. Bed and breakfast is offered as a catering option. At breakfast, guests serve themselves at the generous buffet. Various dishes can be ordered à la carte for lunch and dinner. Diet meals and children's meals can be prepared on request.     Ideal location, friendly staff amazing rooftop terrace.

    Hotel lovely inside and the staff made us feel most welcome. Idealy located a couple of minutes walk near a tram stop, trams ran very frequently, (double glazed windows in hotel room). I think hotel used to be called Pierre Loti now AHC Ayasofya Hotel Special class. Excellent location to the main attactions in Sultamhamet on foot. Roof top terrace has amazing views, worth going up there during the day and at might. Breakfast very nice, buffet service. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby.. I don't provide reviews very often, Seyda the consierge at breakfast (and she also worked at the guest relations desk in the foyer) deserved mentioning. I felt that she worked hard makng sure we had everthing we wanted and remembered us each morning, she went beyond her duty. On our last day of holiday Seyda waited in the foyer as she wanted to personally say Goodbye after we checked out with reception.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptionally helpful, courteous, and genuinely committed to making our stay comfortable and memorable. They consistently went out of their way to assist us, whether by explaining local attractions, marking important sites on maps, arranging reservations, or facilitating excursions and transport.The breakfast at the hotel was very good, offering a pleasant start to the day, and the restaurant staff were efficient, attentive, and friendly throughout our stay.One of the hotel’s greatest strengths is its superb location in the heart of Istanbul’s historic Old City. Many of the city’s major attractions are within easy walking distance, including Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, and the Grand Bazaar. We even enjoyed walking all the way to Taksim Square via the vibrant Istiklal Street, which added greatly to our Istanbul experience.Overall, we had a wonderful stay at the AHC Ayasofya Hotel and would be very happy to recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul.     The location could not be bettered; the hotel (now the AHC Ayasofya Hotel) is situated on one of istanbul's main aterial streets. Whilst the street is busy during the day it is closed to traffic other than the tramline meaning the night's are quiet. Our room was clean and comfortable, the staff excellent, the breakfast good. The location could not be bettered with the main city attractions all within easy walking distance, shops and restaurants aplenty, the tram making it easy to travel further afield

    The staff at this hotel are fantastic , they are so friendly and helpful.I would highly recommend staying here , but not on the 5th floor , the noice from the rooftop restaurant ( not a part of the hotel) can be noisy till quite lateThe location is central and walkable to nearly everywhere
