Location

This hotel is located on the right side of Beyazid Square, only a few metres from the Grand Bazaar, the oldest and largest bazaar in the world with thousands of shops for over a 100 years. The hotel is within walking distance of the historic and tourist areas such as St Sophia, the Blue Mosque, or the Topkapi Palace Museum. Guests can easily reach the old town as well as links to the public transport network, bars, restaurants, nightclubs, and shops. In addition, the hotel is an ideal base for visiting the historic and tourist destinations in Istanbul.

Facility

The hotel welcomes guests in a 5-storey building with 2 lifts and 67 non-smoking rooms. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Services such as a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand and a TV room. Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and individually adjustable heating. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed or a queen-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels and WiFi are provided as well. Slippers are included. A hairdryer and a telephone are provided in the bathrooms, which include a shower and a bathtub. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels. Wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms are also available. Family rooms are available for parents with children.

Fine weather can be enjoyed on the terrace. The fitness rooms are perfect for a comprehensive workout.     Laid back, warm stay at a conveniently located hotel with helpful staff at a great price.

    Stayed here for 4 nights. Excellent location. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Room was nice and quiet, cleaned every day. Price was excellent. Would totally stay here again next time. Location was a few streets from the main tourist area so was pretty quiet but super convenient to get to the shopping and the mosques etc. I opted to get picked up at the airport which we really appreciated. The wifi was fast. Breakfast was nice with plenty of cheeses, pastries, toast, orange and pineapple jiuce as well as tea and coffee. Really enjoyed ourselves on our first trip to Istanbul. The staff really made us feel welcome.

    Worst experice at AHC Grand bazar hotel. During our stay in dec 2025, our $2500 were stolen from hotel room. We immediately informed hotel management but issue was not investigated. We booked a room with good view but they gave us another room. Travellers should be careful with valuables and make sure they get the room which they book online.

    I booked what was supposed to be a larger room through Booking, but when I arrived, I was given a much smaller one. Unfortunately, the staff were either unable or unwilling to resolve the issue, so I ended up paying more than what the room was worth.The room itself was disappointing. In my experience, it was much smaller than expected, the windows didn’t close properly, the door handle came off, and the cleanliness—especially in the bathroom—was below what I consider acceptable. The photos online definitely made the hotel look better than it did in person.Breakfast was also underwhelming. There was very little variety, and surprisingly, there wasn’t even any cheese offered during my stay. Overall, the atmosphere didn’t feel very welcoming, and the staff didn’t come across as particularly friendly or helpful.If I had to compare it to something, I’d say the hotel felt a bit like a cat—looks cute from afar, but not as cooperative once you get close. Based on my experience, I would rate it closer to a 2.5–3 star hotel.

    This hotel offers great cost/benefit deal.I have stayed with them for 10 days.Excellent staff. Very clean. Silent nights. Very good breakfast. Wonderful view from the restaurant. Great location. I wish they wouldn't charge for an extra bed, but I suppose it was a very reasonable price.I'd definetely stay there again.

    Disappointing experience with both Expedia and the hotel

    I booked this hotel through Expedia, but the experience was far from what I expected. The hotel photos were misleading, and the service was subpar. The staff were not particularly friendly, and the overall atmosphere was lackluster.Upon entering the room, I was taken aback to find that the toilet and shower were located within the room, offering little privacy. This setup would be uncomfortable for anyone staying with friends or those who aren’t comfortable with such close proximity between the toilet and the rest of the room.I immediately contacted Expedia for assistance, but they were unable to resolve the issue on the spot. They asked the hotel for an upgrade, which the hotel initially claimed wasn’t available. Yet, after further communication from Expedia, two “upgraded rooms” suddenly appeared. However, these rooms were essentially the same, with only an additional bed added, and the same cramped, shared sanitation facilities.Unhappy with the lack of resolution and the cramped room conditions, I decided to check out early. Unfortunately, I had no backup plan and had to scramble to rebook another hotel at the last minute. The hotel’s tight and small rooms, with barely any floor space, made for an uncomfortable stay.I would not recommend either this hotel or booking through Expedia. If you’re expecting a 4-5 star experience, this is definitely not the place for you.
