  I have booked at Pera orient hotel because it offers what I want from an hotel during my travels and the feedbacks were in its favor. Just after my booking was done I stumble on a negative review that was posted on trip advisor. I was worried about my choice. But when I went to Istanbul and stayed there, I felt compelled to share my own experience, which was entirely different and absolutely fantastic! I believe it's essential to give credit where credit is due.First of all , if you are seeking a resort , Pera Orient is not a resort and it never claims to be one!My stay at Pera Orient was comfortable and pleasant. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the friendly and attentive staff, who made their best to help me in every possible way and to answer my queries during my 5-day long stay. Their warm smiles and genuine willingness to assist truly set the tone for my stay.The location of the hotel is ideal. A 6 min walk from the hotel takes you to Taksim square where you can take the Metro or bus to reach your desired destination. And it allowed me to make regular daily walks on istikal street .The street is a little narrow yes, but there are plenty of hotels all around that I have never felt scared or unsafe ( as it was mentioned in the negative review). And I always took the upward direction then turn right towards taksim.I was greeted by a spotless clean room with a tasteful decor. The bed was incredibly comfortable, The housekeeping staff was attentive and meticulous, making sure that my room was impeccably cleaned each day. Coffee and tea were left daily next to the kettle (sometimes with a bottle of water).When I will visit Istanbul again , I will definitely chose Pera Orient to stay in.

  WARNING : this hotel is a front for a scam

  These guys are a scam operation. They’ll offer you airport transfer at inflated prices, there driver won’t show up, so you’ll take a different cab/taxi, then when you end up at the hotel they will make paying for the their shuttle (which was never there) a precondition for handing you the room keys (which was already paid for in my case). Total scam operation, rude front desk staff and general manager.I chose to leave that hotel there and then which my four suitcases and family of four, took a cab, found a hotel while in cab over phone, paid double obviously at the last minute, at another hotel, was greeted there again with the familiar Turkish hospitality and the worst travel nightmare came to an end.Plus the location is horrible, deep, narrow, steep alleyways, most larger van/shuttle type vehicles can’t make it without scraping their bottoms and getting damaged in the process, which if you don’t have a nice driver you may end up having to pay for. Consider your self forewarned, Don’t stay there. And like a typical scam operation they change their name frequently. Sometimes add Taksim to their name, sometime not. Pera or Agha or Orient in their name at different sites. their address is Duvarcı Adem Sk. No:35, 34435 Beyoğlu/İstanbul

  Horrible management. We got robbed from inside of our room. All our cash money got stolen and the hotel manager was not helpful at all. So disappointed and ruined our entire stay. Date of stay: 1st of May- 8th of May 2022

  We would like to thank you to Manager Mr. Tugrul and his teammates for their free tea and coffee offerings, their hospitality, their help in ordering food, taxi booking, and dry cleaning. Very close to Taksim SquareVery silent like business hotelThe hotel started service 6 months ago.

  I enjoyed my five nights stay at this hotel. I felt welcome due to the friendly staff, especially the reception man. The location was pretty quiet so that I could sleep peacefully. It's only an 8-minute walk to Taksim square (slightly uphill).
