    Noisy and on Main Highway

    Location is both bad and good, GOOD: lt is located ver close to the metro and lots of buses and trams to make it into the tourist spots. Also good because very close to the old town. BAD: on a freeway and very noisy. The atmosphere is good, staff are friendly (except in the so called spa area ~ asked if I could look at the facility and the spa receptionist showed it to me on her small phone, then told me I was not dressed correctly to look at the physical set out, not only that in an officious manner she advised that you needed to book a time to use it - was unpleasant). The breakfast is quite good, lot of choice. Room service menu was disappointing as most of the items were western foods. The rooms were clean, however the water pressure for the shower non existent - barely a drizzle. Unbeknown to me you are also allowed only one face washer per stay (told this by cleaning lady day2). The pillows are a little chunky and rough, there is not a good source of overhead light in the room and little insulation from the windows (noise and cold ). When I checked in I asked for a quiet room, assured I had one -however had to wear earplugs for the next 3 nights ~ extremely noisy (r00m 705). The value was good, the staff in the hotel helpful. Would I stay there again? Possibly not. Have not painted a good picture of the hotel, however had noise not been such a big factor it may have been a better review.     I am writing to formally submit a complaint and claim regarding my confirmed reservation at your hotel in Istanbul, scheduled to begin on December 31, 2025 to January 7th.My reservation was fully confirmed well in advance by the hotel (2296320239), and I personally contacted your hotel daily by phone, including on December 31, 2025, to reconfirm that everything was in order. Each time, I was assured that my reservation was confirmed and that there would be no issue upon arrival.However, when my wife and I arrived at the hotel late on December 31, 2025, after traveling from the airport on a very cold and snowy night, we were informed that the hotel was overbooked and that we would need to move to another hotel for two or three days and then return. This was never agreed upon and is completely unacceptable, even I kept my luggage in the hotel before and paid $100 to store them for my return trip. Also I am a customer of this hotel for more than ten years., and recommended to my friends.I am 72 years old, and my wife is 71 years old. After a long international journey, in freezing weather conditions, being asked to relocate late at night was extremely distressing, physically exhausting, and unsafe for us. Despite explaining our situation and insisting on staying at the hotel as per our confirmed reservation, your staff refused.As a result, we were forced to stay at another hotel that was more than 25 minutes away from your property. This caused serious inconvenience and financial loss, as I had pre-arranged meetings with family members, friends, and business contacts who were staying at or near your hotel. I incurred significant additional taxi expenses, lost valuable time, and experienced unnecessary stress throughout this period.Overbooking is an internal operational issue and should never be the responsibility of a guest, especially when the reservation was repeatedly confirmed.     TRAUMATIC STAY - Wrongful Eviction

    I am writing this review to warn other families. Our planned week-long holiday was destroyed by this hotel's incompetence and hostility.The Broken Reservation:We had a confirmed booking through a travel agent until January 2nd. At check-in, we were told we had "no reservation." After several confusing minutes, they insisted our stay only lasted until December 30th. All attempts to resolve this with management failed. They were rude, refused to listen, and showed no willingness to solve the problem they created.The Eviction:Despite our protests and those of our travel agent, the hotel forced us to vacate. They sold our room and relocated us to a different hotel in an inconvenient, remote location.The Unforgivable Incident:The most shocking moment came when a staff member came to our room and raised her voice at my 15-year-old daughter, demanding she "check out now." Harassing a minor is beyond unprofessional—it created a feeling of being unsafe and is morally reprehensible.Bottom Line:This hotel does not honor bookings, has catastrophic management, and employs staff who bully guests. The emotional distress caused to my family, especially my daughter, is inexcusable. Spend your money elsewhere where you and your family will be treated with basic respect.
