    Unfortunate experience but really nice gentlemaan at reception.

    We arrived in the early evening to find a lone gentleman behind the bare counter at reception loudly exchanging opinions with a group of 16. It would appear that the group had only booked 5 rooms but they disagreed with that. In addition we were told that two resident guests had been wrongly expectyed to have left that day but were booked to leave the following day. After about an hour of a waoit we were "upgraded" to another hotel which we found to be perfectly satuisfactory but the organisation at this one left a lot to be desired. Obviously we saw nothing of the Hotel itself.

    Comfortable stay at Amber Hotel old city, Reception staff is very helpful and friendly. delicious breakfast on the rooftop, rooms are clean and fairly new. beds and pillows are comfortable. 10min walk to the tram station/grand bazarOur first two nights they offered us LG floor rooms which were in a bad condition and really dark with some funny smell. we could not sleep properly.

    Warning, Legionella Bacteria!!!!!!We stayed 1 weak at this hotel and my wife got Legionnaires' disease caused by Legionella bacteria from the AC or shower. She got breathing problem and stayed at hospital. The hotel has a low standard.No way to recommend this hotel.

    Small Friendly hotel, with comfortable clean on-suite rooms. Walking distance from old city Concierge very helpful and friendly - English speaking. Chef a delight, no English but very obliging.Satellite TV system needs re-tuning.Very enjoyable stay, in a slightly older, quirky hotel that feels like it's family run.
