    Staying here was an ordeal

    rating21 Sept 2022

My family and I stayed here for three nights in September (2022). The only good things about it were that the staff on reception were generally friendly, the wifi connection was speedy, and the rooftop views of Istanbul were lovely. Other than that, it was an utter disaster. The rooms were extremely cramped - one of them had literally no space to even open our one suitcase, and the bathroom was a tiny wetroom (no separate shower cabin). The rooms themselves were dirty, even the towels felt sticky and disgusting to the touch, and the water in the bathroom had very variable pressure (just a trickle of water at the worst of times). As far as I could tell, we only got housekeeping on one of the days that we stayed there, and it left the premises even dirtier - there was a dirty cotton bud on the bathroom floor (which didn't come from us), and there were urine stains on our toilet seat (which we did not leave there!). Breakfast was meagre and of very poor quality. Fresh coffee was unavailable, and the soluble coffee on offer looked like it was way beyond its sell-by date. One of the family members I was travelling with had medication that needed to stay refrigerated overnight - there were no minifridges in our rooms, and our only option was to keep it in the cooler in the breakfast room, which was, I kid you not, an antique piece. Finally, there is no lift in this tiny so-called hotel, and the only staircase is very narrow and quite slippery, so carrying luggage up and down the stairs is a torture. Anyone with mobility issues will not be able to navigate these stairs. This is a place best avoided, unless you need an emergency overnight stay in Istanbul.

    good value for money

    rating10 May 2019

Rooms are very minimal and small but clean and nice. The location is excellent and central, close to the main attractions. Even the breakfast is not bad but the view from the terrace is not as beautiful as written on the site.

You get what you pay for...

OK, this is a really budget hotel but sometimes you have to ask yourself if it's really worth it.The rooms are miniscule. Tiny. Prison cells are bigger. The stairs are steep and the whole place is just the wrong side of "worn out and tired". Spend a little more and Istanbul can offer some great deals, this isn't really one of them.

    Not so good

    rating12 Apr 2019

To much noise in the hotel. Poor breakfast. They spoke only few words in english. The only good thing is the location, 800 m next to Blue Mosque. Even if the said we will have parking, there was no free place. The price was medium - 40 euro per night. I don't recommand.

    Never in my life......

    rating20 Oct 2018

Never in my life could i have imagined that something like this could happen to me...I booked a room here 6 months ago, a nice standard economy room with a window and a view....Sent a few e mails during the past months confirming all is okey and got the impression all was. When we arrived late at night they put us in the cellar, under the road.Im not kidding, i know it sounds unbelivable and trust me -it was.Been travelling almost 40 years and stayed in many bad rooms, but not in a room like this for 40 euros. The smell of the mold was so bad that i coudnt sleep all night.Needless to say i tried all the nearby hotels in the night but all were full.Checked out real fast next morning and got a much better room closeby much cheaper.DONT STAY HERE !!!!!!!
