Fabulous little hotel in the heart of everything in Istanbul

    rating06 Mar 2026

Perfect location. Within 5 minutes of the Blue Mosque, Haghia Sophia, Topkapi Palace & Basilica Cistern. This is a 3 star hotel at best, but the rooms are very comfortable. The reception staff are 10 out of 10 & are so accommodating. They can't do enough for you. And they actually try to get to know you as a person. That doesn't happen often these days. The breakfast was so varied with something to suit everyone. The rooms are cleaned every day. This is a fabulous little hotel with a very welcoming touch. Can't fault it in any way. Go stay & enjoy the hospitality.

    Never again!!!

    rating03 Mar 2026

Extremely bad behavior from the staff. This hotel is a huge SCAM!!! Stay away from this place. The staff is incredibly rude and they should be ashamed of the way they speak to a woman. The rooms are NOT what they appear to be. They don’t even let you stay inside the actual hotel building, but instead place you in a separate building outside of it, where there isn’t even a 24-hour reception. Literally anyone could walk in and steal from you. This “chicken coop” that dares to call itself a hotel should honestly just shut down!!!🤬🤬

    Extremely unprofessional and unsafe place

    rating02 Mar 2026

🚨🚨I am writing this review to describe what has honestly been one of the worst accommodation experiences of my life.I have traveled all over the world, including in developing countries, and this is the first time I have ever faced such a situation and such unprofessional behavior.I had planned my vacation in Istanbul starting on February 26 at another hotel, and on March 1st I was supposed to change hotels because a friend of mine would join me so we could continue our vacation together. Unfortunately, my friend was traveling from Dubai, and due to the war and airport closures she was unable to travel. Since the reservation had been made through Booking.com with a non-refundable policy, she could not cancel it.Despite the extraordinary circumstances, the hotel showed zero understanding. We had already paid for four nights, yet they refused even to offer a voucher so we could reschedule the trip for another period.Eventually, I changed my own travel dates to leave Istanbul earlier since my friend could not travel. However, I still needed to stay one night at this hotel before my flight the next morning and that is where my nightmare began. When I arrived in the morning, the staff kept asking unnecessary questions even though my friend had already informed them that I would be the guest arriving. They kept me waiting for 30 minutes for no clear reason, despite having messages with my name.Since I could not wait any longer, I left and returned a few hours later. They then placed me in a room with a broken window that would not close properly. I informed the receptionist, who came to the room and literally struggled to close it but failed. He managed to force it into place so it looked closed, but cold air was still coming in from all sides. At this time, the temperature in Istanbul was around 7°C.To make matters worse, the room was on the ground floor and to the next building from the main hotel without reception and any security guard, just one camera in the entrance of the building. As a woman traveling alone, how am I supposed to feel safe in a room where the window does not properly close and could easily be pushed open from outside? The final shock came when the receptionist told me there were no other available rooms because the hotel was fully booked. However, when I checked online, I could clearly see three different room types available but not Standard room as I booked, more expensive rooms. I showed him this, and he claimed the system was “blocked.” I also checked the hotel’s official website and saw the exact same availability. At that point he said, “Tomorrow you can speak with the manager.” When I insisted on speaking with the manager immediately, he told me the manager did not want to speak with me.This was beyond unprofessional.I told him: “I am a woman traveling alone and I do not feel safe in this room. How would you feel if your sister were in my position?” His response was: “I wouldn’t let my sister travel alone.”This is the level of hospitality this hotel offers. In conclusion, if you are a woman traveling alone especially if unexpected situations leave you with no alternatives do not choose this hotel. The behavior is extremely unprofessional and the environment feels unsafe.🚨🚨

The staff make this hotel - especially Enes

    rating08 Oct 2025

I stayed here for 4 nights with a friend. Whilst the hotel is not 5* luxury it is comfortable enough and within a short walking distance of the main attractions such as The Blue Mosque, Hagi Sophia and Topkapi Palace. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from around the area and a supermarket within walking distance. Room was quiet. Breakfast seemed to have plenty of choice though nothing to my taste as I don't eat cooked breakfast and there was no toaster (a slice of toast is my breakfast). What really makes this hotel special is the staff. We have stayed in hotels all around the world and I can honestly say that the staff here are better than any hotel I have stayed at. Star employee must be Enes, the daytime front desk. He is always smiling and cannot do enough to help you - he goes above and beyond his duties to ensure you have a good stay. The other staff (cleaners, evening receptionist and dining room staff) are also helpful and friendly. Would I stay here again - yes, mainly because of the staff.

Very good place to stay, staff is helpful/attentive and officiant, always ready to assist. Perfect location, all historical spots are close enough to get by foot. Breakfast is simple but very well executed, every day different selection of food. Thanks guys! I do appreciate your service.
