  Last minute booking for this hotel makes us getting the room behind the front desk.It was annoying and noisy as the receptionists was chatting and listening to music.The next day we wakes up early to go for quick breakfast before checking out.We went back at 11 am surprisingly founding our bags out of the room and the cleaner was inside enjoying throwing some of our staff on the floor so she can finish her duty.We asked the receptionist about the reason of taking our luggage out without permission and before the check out timing ⏱ he was claiming that he needs to prepare the room for next customers as if we get the room for free or we are a beggars not customers as well 😠We were complaining how did he dare to do it without taking permission and his answer was i know you arab people 😡

  I stayed in a Single bedroom of this Hotel for 5 nights and only have one word to describe it: terrible!!!1. Smoking is permitted in The room(s) !2. The rooms Need Renovation - BADLY! 3. The wifi basically did what it wanted. I was connected one minute and disconnected The Next (the staff could Not do anything about it, this Went on for several days)4. Small, old, depressing bathrooms5. Very lean stairway6. The key Slot to The Hotel is on The bottom of The Door, so you have to Bend over each Time you arrive.7. They offer you an Airport Transport for 50€ (ONE WAY). There are Busses that Transport you from The Airport to Taksim (500m from The hotel) for approximately 3€!!!!!!!!!!!!I am very sure there are many, MANY other alternatives in this price Region and this location. All in all I would NOT recommend this hotel. They get one star because the staff is friendly and Thats it. bayermedya, Manager at Babu House, responded to this review 1. We are unsure as to part of the bathroom you were expecting to be exciting.5. The stairway is not lean.6. This is really a very creative negative comment. 7. The key word here is offer. No one forces anyone to do anything. If you want a private transfer in a mini van, you may book this. If you want to take public transport, you are welcome to. Comparing the price of a private transfer in a mini van and public transport, these parameters cannot even be compared.Thank you for your feedback.

  Conviently located, but expect a few bumps

  Pros: The hotel is very well located--close to Taksim and Istikal St, but on a quiet sidestreet. Staff at the Lavanta hotel were friendly.Balcony Suite was clean and super spacious.Super well priced. Cons: As others mentioned, It is a branch of Lavanta hotel, first went to Babu Hotel and no one was there, so had to go down the street to do check in at the other hotel. The attendant (when he was there) at Babu House was not well informed. Make sure and be specific about what time you will arrive, as there is not someone at the desk 24/7--we ended up having two wait past the check in time to get our room. The wifi in the Balcony Suite is spotty since it is on the top floor.
