    Trip type: Friends getaway

Nice hotel, good location, wonderful staff but needs some attention.

    rating13 Apr 2025

We were very pleased with this hotel and would have given it 5 stars, only for a few small details. The location is excellent, 15 minutes walk from the Grand Bazaar, 20-25 minutes from Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. There are a number of decent restaurants close by, where you are not hassled by hawkers trying to drag you in. Rooms were delightful but the bathrooms need a bit of attention. We were a group of 13 and we had a problem, as did a number of our friends, with the shower doors, which were very difficult to open/close. Controlling the heating was also a bit of an issue for a number of our friends, although our rooms wasn't too bad. Breakfast lacked a bit of lustre - there was plenty to eat but little change, day to day. (I loved the baklava, though!!!) The staff were all superb, helpful and friendly.Would we stay here again? Quite probably!

Horrible and so tiny rooms… staff courtesy one big 0… i was booked for 8 nights i only stayed for 2 nights and canceled the other nights because its so horrible hotel and nothing was on the standards of even a 1 star hotel …. Not recommended at all.. dont believe what you see ln net… i was with my wife and one infant a 4 months old there was no infant bed the room told us that its the” deluxe” room i think its less than standard room there was no facilities for the baby and i was all the time awake because of the noise. At the first night we arrived they told me its okay on morning we will change your room to a bigger room at the morning i called the reception and the answer was “ no we didnt said anything like that and we will not change any room” i quoted what exactly has been told to me after that i went to another hotel named eurostar hotel in serkici area that was a normal or lets say a standard 4 star hotel …Not recommend at all even if free

Turkey is full of delicious places to eat , sadly this is not one of those places, look anywhere but here for something to eat, we had the miss pleasure of being served Inedible food , a ceaser salad with fruit and simply a ton of mayonnaise smeared throughout. An awful experience Oh and the manager smokes in the same room innocent children.Value your money and just go grab a kebab from around the corner ! Honestly don't bother with this experience... yours ...the reviewist.

Comprehensive review from a frequent visitor

    rating22 Nov 2021

I have been visiting this hotel quite regularly since 2019 and provided three reviews so far (8.8, 9.6 and 7 out 10 respectively). LIKES:1. Location: Five minutes walk from Tram and Metro Stations; with very good road links. Busy area, with good restaurants, shops and money changers. Hotel surroundings are generally quiet. 2. Breakfast: Mr Murat and his team have been offering exceptional breakfast, perhaps the best among four star hotels in Sultanahmet, year on year. Top quality freshly cooked eggs and squeezed fruit juices, 7 to 8 freshly cooked hot entries (suitable for meat eaters and vegans), cold cuts (Meat and Cheese), a full range of cold salads and Turkish Mezzes, bakery items, many kinds of bread and Turkish Tea and Coffee. Variations in daily menu make the experience exciting! It is the exceptional breakfast, which makes me return to the hotel, year on year. 3. Cleanliness: The hotel is very clean and house keeping (room cleaners) seem to doing an excellent job. AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: 1. Staff at Reception: Generally the day time staff were not helpful and at times abrupt and dismissive. Provided me incorrect and misleading information about a local journey and travel card. The gentleman on the night shifts was much better and more polite. 2. “The Room”: The “Deluxe Double Room” which is supposed to be for two people, was quite cramped and even small for one person, in comparison to many others in the hotels in Sultanahmet. Very limited storage space. No rack or table to put the suitcase on. No coffee table to put the food ordered from the room service. The food ordered was left and consumed on top of the chiller/ fridge; a health and safety risk. Cramped shower/ toilet, which may be a struggle to use for those with bigger physique. Noise proofing inadequate. After making a complaint to the GM and Booking.com, I was allocated another room, which was much better. This room was good except having a defective phone. I complained about this to the reception a coupe of times but nothing was done. 3. Issues with Elevators: There are two tiny elevators serving six floors and they malfunctioned many times during my stay.
