Horrible experience!
06 Jul 2024
I recently had a traumatic experience at Quality Inn located in Eastman, GA. Upon arrival, I was given a room that was already occupied. I walked into the room, only to find strangers inside. This was incredibly distressing for my family and i, yet terrifying. To make matters worse, when I approached the front desk to resolve the issue, the hotel staff handled the situation poorly. Instead of addressing the mistake calmly and professionally, an employee became highly distressed, and the hotel ended up calling the police on us, treating us like criminals rather than guests who were subjected to a serious error. This entire incident was extremely upsetting and completely unacceptable. The lack of professionalism and empathy shown by the staff, combined with the traumatizing experience of finding strangers in our room and then dealing with the police, made for a nightmarish stay.I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The safety and well-being of guests should be a top priority, and this hotel failed miserably in that regard.

If Hell is a real place, I'd stay in hell before returning here ever again!!!

If zero or negative stars were possible, steer clear of this place at all costs. I made a reservation for 6/30-7/2 on 6/28/24, a place I frequent 2-3 times a month. The hotel staff are familiar with me and my family. Upon arriving late on Sunday night after a drive from Atlanta, I checked in and headed to the room. I immediately noticed that the curtains were closed, indicating that it might not be the correct room. This detail becomes crucial later on. When I went upstairs to check in, the keys provided did not work. After trying the room next door with no success, I informed my companion, who went to have the keys reconfigured. Upon his return, I used the new key to open the door successfully. As my 4-year-old son entered the room first, he was startled to find people in the bed asleep, causing him to scream and drop his tablet. While I was furious, I quickly grabbed my son and left the room, forgetting about the tablet in the commotion.Feeling panicked, I drove to the front office and demanded a refund, expressing my concern for our safety given the circumstances. The front desk lady, Candice Hernandez, incompetently issued the wrong set of keys twice, putting our lives at risk. Despite this grave error, she reacted by crying and behaving unprofessionally. My companion informed me that Candice had called the police because she felt upset following our confrontation. I was uninterested in her emotional response, as my priority was to ensure the safety and well-being of my son and myself. I had every right to request a refund so that I could make alternative arrangements. It was disappointing to see Candice use her tears and fragility as a means to deflect from her mistakes, especially considering the unnecessary escalation of involving law enforcement. This incident was unwarranted and highlights the need for better training and professionalism in customer service roles. To compound the situation, Candice Hernandez had the audacity to send me an email in an attempt to apologize. I disregarded the email without reading it because I have no interest in her apology or explanations. Instead, I had a trusted individual read the email, and they were outraged by its contents. Far from being an apology, it seemed like Candice was trying to rationalize her actions and elicit sympathy by mentioning her roles as a mother and grandmother. However, such details are irrelevant given the gravity of the situation – my son and I could have been endangered by her incompetence and negligence. Her lack of accountability is appalling. Receiving the email reignited my frustration, as the absence of a genuine acknowledgment of her mistakes only serves to exacerbate my anger, stress, and heightened state of vigilance.I have gathered a sizable support group who witnessed the events of that night through various social media platforms. My 4-year-old son is emotionally scarred due to the events that transpired. It all began with Candice Hernandez's incompetence as a hotel clerk, but it will culminate in my reaching out to the corporate offices, calling for her termination, and taking legal action against Quality Inn in Eastman, GA. My goal is to ensure that this nightmare is never repeated for anyone else in the future.

Lovely stay

Check-in was easy. Staff was able to arrange a ground floor room when requested. Room was spacious and clean, though a bit dated. Curtains would not close all the way, so we clipped them shut. Not a big deal. A/C worked great and was quiet. Water in the bathtub very difficult to turn on. Had to put all your weight with both hands into pulling the knob out. When it did pull out, it was loud. Had family staying in room directly behind us and they mentioned they could hear it. Grounds were very clean and well maintained. Breakfast in the lobby was standard each day. A choice of eggs, meat, pastries, waffles, cereal, milk, juices and coffee. One day there was no meat, and while a few guests seemed upset, there was plenty of food to choose from.If there was one thing that stood out about this hotel, it was their staff. Everyone we came across was so kind and helpful. Always said hello, asked if we needed anything, and if we did, they got it for us right away. Rhonda, at the front desk, really went out of her way for us. Having worked in hospitality, myself, for many years, I was very impressed by her. Her dedication to the guests, her kindness when we arrived weary from travel, her ability to put a smile on everyone’s face. She is an asset to this Quality Inn.

Nice, clean friendly hotel. Good for a quick stopover.

Not a lot of hotel choices in this part of Georgia, but I made the right one. This one came recommended from coworkers from the facility I was visiting. The hotel was in good condition, the room was very clean, and the staff was pleasant. All I needed was a place to sleep and this fit the bill. They serve breakfast but I wanted more so I went into town. I would recommend this hotel if you needed a quick stopover place.
