Appalling Accessibility & Service Failures – Unsafe Stay at Beyoglu MLS Hotel, IstanbulMy stay at Beyoglu MLS Hotel was marked by extreme distress, health risks, and appalling service — made worse by Booking.com's inadequate response.⚠️ As a wheelchair user recovering from surgery, I relied on a caregiver during my trip. Power outages disabled the elevator multiple times, leaving me stranded. Staff refused to assist with alternative transport, and after repeated complaints, interference with electricity seemed intentional.🚿 Facility hygiene was unacceptable: plumbing and A/C issues led to frequent room changes, foul odors persisted, and staff used guest towels to clean toilets. The elevator remained dangerously unreliable.😞 Staff were dismissive and threatening. My caregiver's shirt was bleached without apology or reimbursement.💳 Booking.com failed to honor a refund, citing incorrect payment info. A hot plate, approved by hotel staff, became unusable due to hotel limitations. A January 2025 complaint was never acknowledged, and Booking.com Lost Vital Message History, in essence the messages were no longer in my records in my accounts, including photo evidences. Their failure to protect guest rights and enforce accountability raises serious concerns. This listing should be investigated, and affected guests compensated appropriately. I urge Booking.com to improve its escalation protocols for vulnerable travelers.

    Good value for money

The price matched up to the standards of the hotel. The room was very clean and check-in was smooth as well. Location wise it’s in the heart of Taksim which is a good thing if you’re interested in staying around the area makes it a bit easy to access various stores and restaurants. I stayed during the Ramadan period hence, breakfast wasn’t included and getting meals inside the hotel was not an option.

We arrived at the hotel unsure what to expect due to the lack of / mixture of reviews. The location of the hotel is fantastic, just off istikal street down balık sokak, it is in the middle of a ' hill ' but it's not a bad one at all, we had a pushchair and a guest with bad knees and both found it fine. We didn't find noise an issue and were on the 1st floor facing the street/entry way.The entrance to the hotel was clean and pleasant enough, the day receptionist was friendly and helpful. We didn't have any dealings with the evening staff but he always smiled and said good evening as we entered. Prior to our visit my husband called the hotel to ask for rooms close together ( we had 2 booked ), and to ask about transfers, whoever he spoke to at the time was helpful. We used transfers booked through the hotel both ways as the price was very fair - they didn't bring a car seat as requested either times which was disappointing, but we managed and this wasn't the fault of the hotel as he did ask them to bring one ( we heard him ask ).The rooms were nice, fairly spacious, equipped with a TV, fridge ( more like a cooler but it worked well ), safe & kettle with teas/coffee and bottles of water ( extra were on charge which is fair ). They were clean enough all though I would say they could have taken a bit more care with the cleanliness and with the room finishings as there was minor things like dust on the floor by the bed, and holes in the bed sheet , also wasn't enough towels for the number of guests staying ( we had 1 for 3 persons ) however this was soon rectified by simply asking. The bins and towels were changed daily. Note that theres a lift which makes all floors accessible, we didn't know this. For families theirs also a microwave in the lobby which can be used ( we used to warm our little girls milk ). The hotel offers breakfast but we didn't book it so can't comment on that. There is also a spa, on arrival we were told the hamam and sauna is free ( this may change ) but that anything else was on charge - however we didn't use the spa so comment on it.Not the best hotel we've stayed in, but we were happy with it and it did the job. We'd stay again if we were to visit again. For the price and being a budget city hotel it was nice enough. I'd recommend it if you're not looking for something extrovogant.

When i entered the room seen fridge door hanging which was taped infront of me rather than replacing. Toilet cabinet door hanging and all the furniture had dust which me and my wife cleaned after we seen the behaviour of staff. Ac was on its last leg and balcony door wouldnt shut properly was meant we could sleep till 4am due to the noise coming from local cafe.

Be Careful They Will Cheat YOU!

    rating03 Dec 2021

SO I have been staying here for 3 weeks at 400 TL a night with the worse internet in my room where I could not even teach English on my laptop because the internet was spo weak. So today I started teaching English in the lobby and a group of Arabs came in to get a room. They got their room for 300TL A NIGHT! Be careful, these receptionist will not give you a good deal and smile in your face each morning. DO NOT TRUST THEM. DO NOT PAY MORE THAN 350 A ROOM because it is very loud because of the nightclubs each night across the street! DO NOT TRUST TURKISH PEOPLE. I see why ARABS treat Turkish people this way because they cheat so much because they are so poor. UGGGHHHH! Now I know not to accept the price they give you especially since the lira is so low.
