  Bunkahaus Hotel was one of the best hotels I have stayed in from all my travels! I stayed in the King Suite room, which is a good size for up to 2 people. This hotel is in an amazing location as it was only 2 minutes away from both Taksim Mosque and Taksim Square; public transport was also good around the area. What made this hotel unique was the Japanese theme, which is something totally different that you won't see in other hotels. The hotel rooms were clean and room service was amazing. I came back to the hotel room every evening to find it tidy and replenished with towels and toiletries.The Hotel staff Mia and Bekram were extremely friendly, and they helped me out with everything I needed. Their English was excellent, so it was very easy to communicate. Also, they sorted me out with a SIM card at a great price and even set it up for me. They also sorted out taxi transfers for me at a great price, which was half the price that regular taxi drivers were going to overcharge me for.There is nothing that I did not like - I would highly recommend this hotel to other people looking to go to Istanbul. Especially if you would like to stay within the Taksim area, which I would recommend as opposed to the Sultan Ahmet area (Old City). The area is much nicer and developed, there is more shops, restaurants, cafes, and activities to do. Overall, I would give this hotel 10/10 and I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I was to come back to Istanbul.

  No frills hotel with a noisy neighbor

  No frills, non-descript hotel adjacent to Istiklal street. The location is very convenient but noise level at night doesn't let you have good night's sleep. If you want a quiet night then this place is not for you.

  A very small room, but probably sketched by Marie Kondo: somehow it feels confortable and cozy for 2 people. What most reviewers said is accurate.Had a few issues with the staff, but all in all it was a great stay.It's difficult to imagine a better location, and they managed to fit a king-size bed and a reasonable and clean bathroom with enough silence for one to sleep well in the middle of an area full of old buildings.Some minor downsides would be some water pooling in the shower drain and the fact that they forced the little fridge into a cabinet where there's not enough space for air to circulate, so it obviously doesn't work. Guy at the reception just told me to use his fridge to cool my water bottles... Well, I'm sure there are worse problems to spoil a trip, so won't complain.

  Convinient stay for reasonable price

  Location is perfect: just 5 minutes walk from Taksim (metro station, airport shuttle bus) and 3 minutes from Istiklal street. Hotel is very small, room is small too, but it is very clean and cosy. Great place to stay for few nights. Staff is friendly and helpful.

  Bunkahaus is a small hotel but it's really worth the price.Affordable and clean,the bed set is so comfortable.They also have free coffee and tea in the room.The place is right at the center in the quiet street so you can be sure you will have a good sleep.Hotel staff is nice and friendly,breakfast is great too.
