    We were in the 1st time in Istanbul we chose this hotel by its reviews. Actually we are very appreciative of this hotel’s staffs. They are very friendly and helped us. Also owner is so kind. Additionally breakfast is so delicious. If I travel to Istanbul again I will choose this hotel. Recommend for travelers: location, breakfast, friendly staff✨

    When you enter the hotel, you understand – it looks like “Decline and Fall”

    We planned to spend a week in Istanbul with the whole family and booked two rooms (family and standart), but unfortunately we have to cancel our reservation at Castillo Rojo Istanbul.When you enter the hotel, you understand that there is the only one kind of description for its condition - “Decline and Fall". Maybe it used to be a small boutique hotel, but now it's definitely not 4 stars and not even 3.There are several reasons for this:- the hotel does not correspond to the declared 3 stars;- the rooms are in terrible condition - the furniture needs to be replaced, the walls and furniture are stained from the spilled liquid;- dust (almost everywhere - on walls, furniture, floor, doors);- the smell of mould in the bathroom (my wife and I are allergic to mould);- the smell of tobacco from the ventilation (i.e. someone smokes either in the rooms or in the hotel in general);- water problems in the bathroom (very weak pressure, the water temperature is constantly jumping);– the bread at breakfast looked far from fresh, the general condition of the terrace is more like a cheap street food with bad food (with all respect for street food);– bad Wi-Fi signal (and after midnight it turns off at all). The only positive thing is the very friendly staff who try to do everything in their power to smooth out the experience of the hotel.When we said that we wanted to leave the hotel, the hotel manager at the reception was not even surprised by that.

    This is not a 4 star hotel. The location was close to lots of restaurants. The staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful.. The double room was so small we had no where to put our luggage, when we slept we had to pile it up in the front of the door. When we arrived the bed was made up with one sheet that didn’t fit the bed and one grey cotton blanket and two hard pillows. Definitely no 4 star luxury. The next day when we returned to the room the two grey towels rolled up on the end of the bed were still wet. If you are looking for a cheap hotel this one is great if you are looking for 4 star luxury don’t stay here.

    This hotel is in the historical part of town and 1 minute walk to lots of restaurants near by. Staff was extremely helpful and kind, Especially Adam. Prior to arrival he helped me reserving a second room and airport pick up. This spot is great for solo travelers too. Very clean, busy at night, Highly recommend!

    Good hotel, great and very helpful staff.Breakfast options were limited and can be improved.Other than breakfast, a very comfortable stay. Stayed for 4 nights, tourist attractions are nearby, public transport is nearby, shopping area nearby.
