The worst hotel experience I have ever had

Steer very clearly away from this place and do not believe the raving reviews on Booking.com because they are all either fake or written by the owner's friends. I had booked a room from Celebi Taksim Suits from September 21st to October 5th, and I had selected the “Pay on Property” option for it. A few days before the trip, the owner messaged me and told me my card was not working, which was odd. I told them to try the card again and to tell me the pre-deposit amount. (They said they had to take some money from my card that was supposed to be returned to me, and they didn’t tell me the amount for certain). After the owner tried the card again, their transaction was blocked because of a safety feature. I messaged them, but they did not reply. I called them and explained that I had added them to a safety list and that they could try again, but they said they would do it the day after that, and I also mentioned that I would pay on the property (which was selected in the options as well). However, in the morning, they did not try the card again at all. I took the flight, landed in Turkey at 5 p.m. because of the delay, messaged them, and told them that I was at the airport and that I was on the way. I did not have internet during the ride from the airport to the destination station. When I connected to the wifi on the street, I realized that they had been trying to take money from my card with random amounts: first time 900 euros, second time 500 euros, and in the end 173 euros because luckily I had not deposited too much on my card! I literally arrived at the hotel at 6 pm (only 1 hour later, which happens all the time because of delays, and no hotel ever randomly cancels a reservation because someone arrived 1 hour later than the time announced they were coming, especially since it was in the same day). They told me that the system had canceled my booking because of my late arrival, which sounded like a lie because 24 hours had not been completed, and he had clearly done that himself for no reason. And given that he had taken the deposit earlier, they could have confirmed it anyway but didn’t. He told us that we could stay at the place anyway, even though it was canceled, but the shenanigan he pulled cost me 108 euros worth of credit points from booking.com as an Amazon Prime member that I was supposed to receive after my travel time had concluded. The only reason we decided to stay and didn’t just leave then and there was that it was hard to find another place for two weeks. Boy, what a mistake.The apartment is in the middle of a very bad, unsafe alley that is always loud at night and on a steep hill. The room itself was absolutely filthy; the pictures on booking.com are all a lie. The “utensils and plates” they have are basically a bunch of horrifying dirty forks and knives under the sink. The dishwashinghandwashing liquid wasn’t filled, there were no slippers in the room, and not even a proper gas lighter to turn on the stove (only they gave us normal lighters), the bed mattress was broken and too curved, we had to clean the toilet again ourselves. The water warming system was broken, and we had to call for him to fix it constantly; even the TV and the air conditioning were not working. This place is horrendous, and I believe the owner pulled the cancellation game because he fears negative reviews on booking.com. Probably all of the reviews there are fake, or because he does not want to give the necessary sharing rights money to booking.com. In any case, I would never ever even recommend this place to my worst enemy. Stay awayyyyy

The area is indeed 5min from Taksim but the area of the hotel is very dangerous.A prostitute was in front of the hotel and drug dealers 50 meters away. Look on Google street to see the outside. You should avoid that hotel

Please don’t get fooled by beautiful pictures on Booking.com, this is the reality. The value for money is absolutely bad. Obvious cleaningness issues, rooms dirty and are smaller than stated on Booking.com, hairs in clean bedsheets, unpolite staff, location maybe near Taksim, but the street is shady, Wifi issues. After I complained to Booking.com, why i got smaller room than booked, the hotel lied and sad, that we came late (we came at 17:35). Any proposal to fix it or refund is denied.

I booked an apartment 3 weeks ago and my booking has been cancelled as the credit card transaction is declined many times, today morning I have recieved the first email that the credit card was declined and immediately updated the details and called the hotel requested from them to debit the card with the full amount not zero because the zero amount transactions is hitting the security system in my bank accordingly any zero trasactions are declined for security reasons and they asked me to send them my booking and i did. Acctually, they cancelled my booking now and I will arrive after two days and the problem is not mine. I tried again to contact them through whatsapp to and they rejected to try again with the card to debit the full amount saying that they have many fake bookings but I think if I'm making this booking in fake way I will not be keen to keep the booking as it is.

Too much hassle

Arrived to be told were had to stay across the street in Oriella hotel for 1 night. Oriella kept calling us to check out at noon even though our room in Celebi wasn’t ready so we had to wait for it in reception. The room was fine but the TV didn’t work. Asked reception more than 3 times for it to be fixed. Day 3 they just put another TV on the table which still didn’t work so we had 2 Tv’s not working! We reported it to reception again! Day 4 they kept calling us to get in to have a look at it and finally we got a new TV set up that worked. Then we had 2 power cuts that night which I know can’t be helped. Day 5 we wake up to no water at all until 5pm !!! The road out the back of hotel was soo noisy all the time we couldn’t sleep with the window open and road work was being done by Day 8 from 9am for 4 days!!!Location is on a very steep hill and at the top there’s prostitutes standing every single night from 7pm on. Although only a 5 min walk to Taksim square.
