  You can’t go wrong with Intercontinental even though I have to say that the language barrier sometimes might be a bit difficult to overcome. The staff was great and really friendly but it’s been difficult sometimes to find someone who was really capable to speak English. The structure of hotel is really unique inside Global Center (one of the biggest building in the world from what I understood). My room was in Building C and pretty much the closest to the breakfast area and swimming pools as well. The room was big and with a nice balcony, very clean but with some small (sometimes really small but I’m picky I guess) details in both room and bathroom that would need some refinement (toilet paper holder was driving me crazy every single time). Breakfast was great, you can really have whatever you want from Waffles with Maple Syrup to the local cuisine and for once black coffee (Americano) was actually a proper one. Room service wasn’t great as far as how much choice you had, food was good but with not much choice. Finally Wifi, I knew it from the start that I had to use a VPN and an eSIM card with unlimited data so I basically didn’t use WiFi but I strongly recommend anyone to get a good unlimited data plan and a reliable VPN.

  Great big hotel with resort like facilities

  When I checked in for the 1st day, the room was not clean and tidy up properly. However, when I feedback to the front desk, the duty manger has done the damage control swifty and professionally. High praise for the manager Mr Yves Su.The lounge staffs provided good service. Especially the manager Cherry and her staff Max Shi. The only downside is it's time for renovations for the hotel as it's over 10 years old as can be seen from the aging of the furniture and the door. It's high time to replace the pillows as it stinks of sweat and mould.

  Beautiful hotel with chandeliers in the huge rooms. Pillows and bed were comfortable. Unfortunately there was no option for cooling, just heating and fan, so the room can be quite hot at night. Plenty of water is supplied. Minibar is free.The waterpark was under renovation at this time, however the heated pool was still open. We did not use it as even though it was indoors, the air was pretty cold. Breakfast had plenty of options and was located near the pool. Best to wear a warm jacket.MRT is conveniently located underground with the shopping centre.Overall a beautiful hotel.

  We stayed here for 5 days and 4 nights. Then we had to head to Jiuzhaigou for 4 days before coming back to stay for 1 night. The service staff, particularly Annie Huang, was amazing! She not only helped us arrange for the concierge to keep our luggage so we don't have to lug all our luggages to Jiuzhaigou, but also ensured it was already waiting in our new room on our return!

  As local citizen,I should say it is the best hotel in China for staycation.My son loves it so much.It accompany my son for so many important days such as birthday, anniversary etc.Huge hotel with so many entertainment, with nice staff, warmhearted manager.
