Disgusting room & broken bed
19 Mar 2026
The room was disgusting. At some point before our stay on 3/14/2026 someone had spilled something down the side of one of the beds/night table and it was left for us to find. We pulled out the nightstand and it was clear that they hardly ever dust of vacuum behind it. There was still the used soap left in the shower from the person before. The bed closets to the window was broken-as in you could see the deep dip in the bed just by looking at it. You could feel and hear every single spring in it. They couldn’t move us to a different room and the while the woman who came to clean our room again was very nice and apologetic, she literally just wiped off the soiled bed duster instead of changing it. We spent over an hour looking for an other place to stay as we were in from out of town for our son’s birthday, but sadly there was absolutely nothing or we would have left. The woman who cleaned our room did comp us $28 at checkout the next day (off of $190 one night stay) as that was all she had the authority to do and told us the manager would be reaching out to us. No one has contacted us and no further refunds have been given. The hotel as a whole is extremely run down and dated and to charge what they do to begin with is outrageous. Avoid at all costs.

Good value but uneven experience
17 Mar 2026
Overall this hotel is a good value; the price is decent and the location is good - accessible from the highway, with ready access to local sites and nearby restaurants. The lobby is pleasant and the breakfast is adequate and appreciated. Room quality is a little uneven; some rooms have musty or other odors, and some are totally fine. Ventilation from the wall-mounted units is only adequate, and windows do not open. Hallways and carpets are somewhat showing age and wear, but are not noticeably dirty. Most of the staff when I was there were friendly and helpful, but when I accidentally locked myself out of my room at 6:00AM the front desk remained unattended with no one to help me for 45 minutes. I never did find the desk clerk, and was saved only by other staff.

Door did not close all the way unless you pulled/pushed it shut hard. Most of the electrical outlets and light switches in our room did not work.Clean room and friendly staff

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. It’s encouraging to hear our team helped make your stay welcoming and that your room was clean and comfortable. However, it’s disappointing that issues with the door and outlets affected your experience. Your feedback about these details is appreciated, as it helps guide where attention is most needed. We hope to welcome you back for a seamless stay in the future.Warm Regards,Kelly FurmanGeneral Manager

Truly awful experience
26 Nov 2025
I had a VERY odd experience this morning (11-26-2025) checking out from this hotel which ended in being threatened by the person behind the counter threatening to call the police on me.My credit card had showed two $50 charges in addition to the temporary hold for incidentals on three rooms I had booked. I asked the person behind the desk if they knew what they were for, and they mistakenly said it was for incidentals and would be removed. I explained that those charges had already been removed (3 x $157.82 had already been reduced to 3 x 107.82), and there were two other $50 charges. They insisted that these were for incidentals and would be removed. They called the manager and confirmed this would be removed. I then asked for a name so that should anything come up in the future I can explain that I spoke to *insert name*.Not only did they immediately refuse to provide a name but then threatened to call the police! Because I asked for a name. I was patient and courteous during the exchange, and was really taken aback. My elderly mother in law who I was traveling with overheard and asked why I was being threatened. The staff then asked if she was checked out. She replied yes and as she was, she needed to leave the property as she was now trespassing and would call the police if she didn't.Super weird, very unnecessary, and over a customer seeking clarification over two $50 charges. I am left bewildered and a little shaken.

I want to sincerely apologize for the upsetting experience you had during your checkout on November 26. Reading what happened, I am deeply saddened and troubled that your interaction with our staff made you feel threatened, disrespected, or unsafe in any way. That should never happen to any guest — ever — and especially not when you were simply asking for clarity about your charges. You were patient, polite, and completely reasonable in your questions. The response you received was unacceptable and far from the level of care, understanding, and professionalism we promise to every person who walks through our doors. I am truly sorry that we failed you in that moment. Please know that we are taking this incident very seriously. We are reviewing everything that happened and addressing it directly with the team members involved. If you are still seeing unexpected charges or have any lingering concerns, I would be more than happy to personally look into them for you and provide full clarity. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and thank you for your patience. I hope you will allow us the opportunity to regain your trust. If you would like to discuss this further, please reach out to me anytime at Quida Pennington (Front Desk Manager)

Disappointing Stay – Needs Serious Maintenance and Housekeeping Attention
19 Mar 2025
We recently stayed at this hotel, and unfortunately, it was far from the experience we were hoping for.In our room (423), the bathtub water control handle fell off, revealing a poor attempt at repair with glue. The sheets had not been changed from the previous guest and had a noticeable, unpleasant odor. Additionally, the bathroom floors were not well cleaned, and there was no sink drain plug, which nearly caused us to lose a toothpaste cap down the drain. The toilet seat cover was also missing, leaving us with a public bathroom-style toilet — not what we expected for a private room.To make matters worse, the elevator was out of service. While we are in our 70s and in good health, climbing four flights of stairs with our bags was a challenge. Thankfully, we had packed light. Our friends in room 321 faced similar issues. They found food left behind by previous guests in their fridge, had only one towel provided, and their TV wouldn’t connect to the network, leaving them without any channels. When they sought assistance from the front desk, they received no help. The hotel was fully booked, so changing rooms wasn’t an option. While the breakfast room was clean and the food was okay, it wasn’t enough to overshadow the other problems we encountered. The one bright spot was the hotel manager, Kelly. She was apologetic and visibly frustrated, citing post-COVID staffing shortages and limited corporate support. Her professionalism in the face of these challenges was appreciated, and she did offer us a 25% discount. However, no amount of compensation can make up for the lack of basic cleanliness and functionality.Until significant improvements are made, I can’t recommend staying here. I sincerely hope management invests in better maintenance and housekeeping to prevent other guests from having a similar experience.
