    If you value your comfort, safety, sanity, or basic human dignity, avoid Danis Hotel like it’s a public health warning.This place is a masterclass in how not to run a hotel.The rooms are the size of a walk-in closet, and somehow still manage to feel cheap, cramped, and depressing. I was placed here as part of a medical recovery package after major surgery — and let me tell you, nothing about this place is remotely fit for a patient or even a healthy person.There are no ice machines, and the “refrigerators” in the rooms could barely chill a glass of water. When I explained I needed a working fridge for my medication and post-op care, the staff shrugged like I had asked them to perform open-heart surgery themselves.I tried filling a water bottle in the restaurant area and was told I’d have to pay for filtered water, spoken to like I was asking for liquid gold, not hydration after surgery.The TVs? Pure decoration. They don’t work. Don’t bother asking them to fix it — they can’t.Opening your room door is like walking into a nicotine-scented punch to the face. Cigarette smoke floods the hallways, seeping under your door like a bad omen.Let’s talk towels:There are no face towels at this hotel. I tore a tiny corner from a towel to soothe a surgical incision, and the front desk acted like I vandalized the Hagia Sophia. They called my room, irate, demanding money for a “damaged towel,” and then the man at the desk literally blocked my path to the elevator in a passive-aggressive power trip.That alone should tell you everything you need to know about the culture of this place.This hotel sits in a rigidly conservative area where warmth and hospitality apparently came to die. If you’re an international traveler, post-op patient, or someone who doesn’t speak Turkish, prepare to fend for yourself. There is no compassion, no intention to help, no service mentality whatsoever.If you want actual hospitality?Go to the Asian side.It’s a different universe — people there treat you like a human being, not an inconvenience.Danis Hotel is a hard no.A flashing, neon, blaring NO.

    Hotel is very noisy. Dirty carpets, dust and smell of mold in the shower. There was a safe boxed but it was not secured to the surface. It was the last leg of the tour and everybody were deeply disappointed

    A lovely hotel in the heart of old Istanbul. It's a really nice and clean hotel with very comfortable rooms. There is no bar and a very limited cafe service, but everything is available right outside the hotel. The reception staff are amazing. They helped arrange some tours for me and were always willing to help in any way. If I had one small complaint, it would be the joining door in room 106. There is no soundproofing between the rooms. I could hear every word when my neighbours were talking and every little noise when they weren't talking. Ear plugs helped.But great bed, great shower, great A/C, great staff, great location.

    Truly a fantastic hotel. Staff is wonderful. Location is AMAZING! The only thing I will say is that the breakfast buffet is underwhelming and disappointing. Not much to eat other than tons of fillers (olives, cabbage, tomatoes, etc). Warm and cold drinks are from machines and the bar/snackbar in the hotel is VERY BELOW PAR compared to this beautiful hotel. So don't expect anything food or drink related to be satisfying at all.

    The hotel is ideally situated, Grand bazaar is 15 min walk away and blue mosque is 25 min walk..The tram line is 5 mins walk..staff are super friendly and helpful .my room was clean and beds were comfortable.. only thing I would say have the breakfast option not the dinner..
