    Friendly staff, hotel needs an upgrade

    It's a nicely located hotel right in Kadıköy, close to the bus station and affordable prices. The staff are very very helpful and made our meetings easy to organise. The rooms however are a bit outdated and some need an upgrade. The restaurant food was quite bland, suggest eating out in the wide variety of places in Kadıköy.

    Our Dila Hotel stay was very pleasant, from the onset the reception staff were very good, polite and accomodating. We arrived in Istanbul after a rather uncomfortable Turkish Airlines direct flight from Bali, Indonesia. The uncomfortable flight was made even worse by the Immigration Police at Istanbul Airport who due to a problem in their system saw fit to detain us in the airport for 2 hours, resulting in our baggage being sent to lost and found and our hotel transfer being cancelled. Sadly our first impression of Istanbul, Turkey was being rudely inconvenienced by the most abrupt, rude immigration police I have ever encountered, their poor attitude really damaged our Turkey experience.Upon arrival at the Dila Hotel our disheveled appearance and not very happy state of mind was probably rather obvious. So much so, that the young lady on the reception desk magically arranged for us to check in a couple of hours early which was marvellous. Our room was of an older style however it was cosy, clean and comfortable.The daily breakfast was rather repetitive however it was very nice and we did look forward to having breakfast there each morning.The hotel's location in Kadikoy on the Asian side of Istanbul was handy to ferries, shopping and numerous eateries. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to explore the Asian side of Istanbul.

    Very good stay with my sister during christmas day. Nice staff. Good meals. Breakfast top. For llunch and dinner delicious dishes. I suggest you to go. The only negative thing was that there is the moquette in the rooms and owing that we stayed 7 days, the moquette has never been vacuumed, never!

    The reception staff especially RAHMI BAL and the waiter staff were excellent! The cleanliness of the room is the most disappointing ☹. At no time during a 5-night stay was the carpet swept or vacuumed, the bathroom floor mopped nor cleaning solution used in the face basin, bathtub or toilet. The fridge and wooden units need to be cleaned and maintained. The room has a musty/smoky smell which made the stay very unpleasant as it seemed to be coming through the heater/AC unit above head in a non-smoking area of the hotel.Overall the hotel would benefit from an upgrade in décor inside and out because the location is great for food, transport, sites, etc and some staff were exceptional!!

    Good budget choice at Kadikoy area

    Stayed here one night in early March. Was looking for budget hotel near Kadikoy metro, and decided to stay at Dila hotel. Generally, Kadikoy area is one of worst in Istanbul. Some kind of small Amsterdam with a lot of immigrants, offering you almost everything.
