  A very bad place

  This is among the trashiest places I've ever been. There was no one available to check us in and we waited in a bad neighborhood for hours outside in the street. Drunk men without shirts standing outside the door staring at my wife and kids snickering. When we finally got in, we found the place to be filthy and the lights didn't work. It has a terrible smell. I had to use my cell phone to see where we were going. The owner then started with Anti-American comments when I asked for a refund. His "staff person" said I could get a refund, then he started ranting about Americans. He denied the refund after she said I could switch to a better hotel. Avoid this place!

  This is not a hotel. Just a building converted into small rooms which they call a hotel. They have no provisions for the facilities of a hotel. No drinking water provided and no proper hygiene. Do not book it!

  friendly family hotel

  Our room was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, breakfasts were great (kept us going all day!) and they arranged transport from the airport. The location was fantastic, really handy for all the tourist locations but set in a nice quiet street with a little park at the end. There were lots of good restaurants within easy walking distance too. We immediately felt right at home both in the hotel and the city. We really loved Istanbul. I think it's one of the world's most impressive cities.

  Very nice hotel to explore touristic downtown

  Dualis Hotel is very nice base to visit all the museums and mosques in the downtown. Hotel is located around 10 minutes walk from hipodrome where you can see all the most important historic places: Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Museum of Turkish and Islamic Art, Basilica Cistern, Mosaic Museum and more. It's also near Sultanahmet T1 station which makes it good to further exploring other districts like Beyoglu on other side of Golden Horn or Uskudar on the other side of Bosphorus. Apart from very favourable location hotel is quite clean and offers rooms at reasonable prices, what I find also nice is the small number of rooms. Breakfasts in the morning are good. serving vegetables, some kinds of turkish scrambled eggs, cheeses, bread, coffee, tea and more. Hotel service is not numerous but nice and very helpful. Manager and his employee speak quite good English. We had very nice 8 nights long stay and can honestly recommend this hotel if you visit Istanbul. :)

  Nice hotel, good location

  We arrived around 8 pm and were told that there were some problems so we had to take a 10 min walk with our luggage to an other hotel which wasn't the same quality, but we didn't mind too much. We slept in the room next to the kitchen which can be a bit noisy as other guests are taking breakfast and you're still sleeping, but we didn't bother as we are deep sleepers. After two days we were moved to another room which wasn't next to the kitchen so we had a bit more privacy. The best thing about this hotel is the location. In 10 min you'll be at sultanahmet square, next to the blue mosque and hagia sophia. The neigbhourhood was quiet and there were some nice restaurants just around the corner. Over all the hotel is fine, location is good and staff is friendly, but don't expect too much as you'll probably will be sight seeing all day.
