  Nice hotel - room for improvement

  I’ve booked a triple room for me and my friends for 3 nights. Room was very spacious and clean. Some furniture was broken but didn’t affect us much. We had 3 separate beds which were pretty soft. Unfortunately this softness didn't let me sleep … moreover the windows of the room were not properly insulated and we could hear all the noise coming from the main street (tram, cars, people). The good part was that in the room we had a couch which could expand in a bed and after I have asked the reception to use it, they were very quick to spread some bed sheets and prepare it for me. The staff was very polite and keen to help us with any request. Breakfast was nice but a bit boring (we were arriving around 10:00 to eat and all we were offered was a breakfast set plus coffee/juice). The interesting part is that in the day I’ve left (at 6 am - I had to skip the breakfast) my friends were offered a nice buffet. The hotel is situated in a perfect position - just across the Sirkeci train station / Marmaray station - so you have direct public transportation connection to Sabiha Airport. In front of the hotel there is the tram station which can bring you to Sultanahmet area or Galata tower. In few words, is a good value for money hotel which allows you to explore the Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar and all the other important touristic sites of the old city. I loved the fact that I could reach Eminönu pier and Yeni Cami mosque by walk.

  Nice hotel with central location of 10 minutes walk from Grand Bazar and Aya Sofia. The building is equipped with elevator and central AC system.Room is more spacious that I expected, equipped with small refrigerator and safety box. Hot water is really hot. The bathroom is served with all these small necessities as tooth brush, shaving kit etc. The stuff is friendly and helpful that is also important. Can not say anything about the restaurant as it was closed due to covid mess.

  Great trip to Istanbul Oct 2019. Empire Suite Hotel was ok for us as a couple, no frills etc. Room was big but very dated. Breakfast was next door in a restaurant. Location of the hotel was perfect, near the river with a tram stop just outside. We could walk to the main sites within 20 mins max... but used the tram system with their equivalent of an Oyster card... travel was cheap. Great city, lots to see and do. Definitely worth a visit if you like the history particularly the mosques. Definitely visit the Basillica, Hagia Sophia, Blue mosque, Süleymaniye mosque, Gelata tower, Taksim square and Topkapi Palace. Some charge 72lira per person for entry, you can buy a palace/museum pass for 220lira. Single trip tram journey was 2.65 lira each way per person.Grand Bazaar was too busy... you have to bargain hard. I found the spice bazar more reasonable and civilised. Eating out was a mixed bag. Some of the cheaper fast food outlets had the nicest food.Some photos attached of our trip.

  Pleasant stay

  The staffs are very helpful, they go extra mile to make your stay pleasant. The room we stayed was very big and clean. I recommend this hotel, its location is perfect for visiting Istanbul’s historical places. But like i said the staff are professional and not creepy in some other hotels which makes the whole difference!

  I booked this trip for my elderly parents on recommendations from the reviews here and my parents was definitely not disappointed, the initial communication with them prior to my parents attending to the hotel updating me on my parents arrival to the hotel was amazing, the rooms were very spacious and comfortable.
