Location

This hotel is located just a couple of paces from the nearest public transport links, about 1 km from the shops and roughly 2 km from the Sea of Marmara. It lies 15 km west of the town of Silivri, with its restaurants and bars. Istanbul and its attractions, including the Blue Mosque, the Topkapi Palace and the Hagia Sofia, is roughly 85 km away.

Facility

The hotel has 218 non-smoking rooms, which are located on 7 storeys and are reachable by lift. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service.     While the hotel deserves 3 stars, being 5 stars is a clear insult to other 5 star hotels. Rooms are dusty. The shower was not clean, rusty and leaking water. Technician came and changed something. The air conditioner works bad, it neither heats nor cools and is dusty, if you have allergies you will definitely get sick. I don't know what year the pictures belong to, but the inside of the big pool is full of broken ceramics. Even the bottom of the pool with the slide is not visible and the water is green. In front of my eyes, a child vomited by the pool, we told the attendant, he said okay and passed it off. The food is almost ok but frankly, I don't want to see the hygiene of the kitchen... Everywhere you keep it in the gym is dusty. When you want to do sports, you have a high chance of getting sick. and the only thing we really liked was the Turkish bath hamam. We closed our eyes and tried to take a vacation, but cannot enjoy...

    By far worst hotel ever!Even tho it has 5 stars, i don't think it deserves 2!! At the check in, they took our passports and returned them at check out, there was a terrible smell in all the hotel, everything was very old (furniture, tv), and very,very dirty!!!! TO BE AVOIDED

    First of all,the hotel is located in the middle of nowhere.The building is old,creaky,looks abandoned.The staff is struggling to cope with their duties.wi-fi is mentioned as an option but is more of an idea than a reality.Very disappointing stay,the good thing was that it was only one night.

    I would say this location is away from the worst traffic, so probably a reasonable base to explore the Marmara coast

    I went here because lodging I had reserved wasn't available when I got there.It isn't convenient for the City, and there is a beach in walking distance (which was empty and deserted, 'out of season')The room was a generous size, and the buffet breakfast had a reasonable selection - but don't go there late, the choice of hot food reduces and milk runs out.I decided to try the 'restaurant' by the entrance, but they seem to make meals before guests order... Some soup was delivered, which I hadn't ordered. My order was taken, but apparently ignored! I was hungry, so when a plate was provided, despite it being cold, and not what I requested, I tried to eat it. The 'chef' seemed amazed that someone would eat a meal that was probably going to be thrown away, he gave me a dessert, for free. I should have rejected the meal...I don't understand why the Chinese TV channel was in English. TRT World had no sound.The WiFi was good, and there was enough power sockets - which is almost unusual now.

    This place is an absolute DUMP. How this was certified as a 5 star hotel I’ll never understand. As soon as you walk in you will realise you are walking in to a 1 star hotel and that’s being generous.We got put here by Turkish airlines after their delay meant we missed our connecting flight home. It took more than an hour to get here from Istanbul airport and it was still in the middle of nowhere. The receptionist was insanely rude, spoke to people like she was herding cattle and wasn’t interested in anyones requests for help. Five star service this is NOT. Got to the room where there was filthy black mould all over the bathroom, the carpets were dirty and old and the whole place just smelt musty. I literally have nothing nice to say about this place at all. Not a thing. If you are a paying guest, avoid coming here at all costs. Do NOT pay five star prices because this is NOT a five star hotel. If we ever miss our flight again and Turkish airlines try to send us to this hotel I will refuse, I would rather pay for my own hotel than stay here for free. The incompetence of Turkish airlines and the terribly bad experience at Eser Diamond Hotel has tarnished the end of what was an amazing holiday.
