Location

The hotel enjoys a great location in the historic Sultanahmet district of Istanbul. The top attractions such as Topkapi Palace and Hagia Sophia are within a 10 to 15-minute walk and local transport is close by with links to other parts of the city. There are numerous restaurants, bars and shops within a short stroll of the hotel. The train station is about 2 km away. Atatürk and Sabiha Gökçen international airports are about 15 km and 45 km away, respectively.

Facility

The hotel has 4 suites, 10 single rooms and 10 double rooms, which are located on 7 storeys and are reachable by lift. English- and German-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and drinks machine. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. There are a number of shops as well. Children can enjoy the playground. Additional amenities include a TV room, a playroom and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service (for a fee), an alarm call service, a laundry service, a hairdresser, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. Rooms

    Loved this hotel. Spacious rooms and glorious rooftop terrace for breakfast overlooking the Blue Mosque and the Bosphorus. In the old town so very atmospheric but not within walking distance of public transport. So you need to be able to walk or use Uber! But best of all the staff at the hotel, from reception to maintenance, were absolutely delightful. So happy to help and chat. Would definitely stay again.

    Ferman Hotel's primary strength is its location in Sultanahmet. The hotel is steps away from Istanbul's major landmarks, with everything accessible within a 2-minute walk. This eliminates time and cost associated with taxis and metro fares.The staff provided consistently attentive and professional service. Mohamed and Omar deserve particular recognition for their competence and courtesy. The historic cobblestone alley provides pleasant atmosphere, with monuments in close proximity. A very comfortable and well-managed stay.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ferman Old City. Service excellent. Not only did we receive excellent service, but the care, kindness and consideration shown to us throughout our stay actually made us feel like we were the only guests, when in reality the hotel was at full capacity. Ferman Old City will be our first choice for all future trips to Istanbul. Thank you to Omer, Celuk, Ayse, Nuri and everyone at Ferman Old City. Apologies if I've not named you. PS the breakfast and views are incredible.

    The hotel was very clean something that is very important to me no matter how many stars a hotel has. Room service was prompt and efficient. Staff at reception were very helpful in regards to any assistance with sightseeing. My teenage son enjoyed talking about the local football scene with reception. The breakfast had a good range of food. I loved the late afternoon snack hour with tea and biscuits. The hotel is located in a very ideal location in the old city. 20 minutes walk to the Hagia Sofia and various restaurants on its doorstep. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

    We had a great stay at FermanWhat worked:- great location. Hagua Sophia, Blue Mosque are at 5 minutes walking distance- breath taking views from the terrace- nice rooms - good breakfast (could be better, but will take it given the price point)- some of the staff members were quite friendly. Others were not and were sticklers for rules, but guess that's expected in some cities
