  I was initially optimistic. The gentleman on the front desk was super helpful. My room initially seemed ok. Then I realised the shower leaked on the bathroom floor, the controls for the shower were broken, there was no shower gel, the curtains were hanging off and despite there being tea and coffee…. there was no kettle!!I needed sleep. I only had five hours in the hotel. But I was in a room by reception and it was noisy. Even at 1am the reception staff were watching football on their phones.

  Our review is based on a short stay layover near Istanbul Airport. We arrived just after midnight from the UK ahead of our connecting flight to Bangkok the following afternoon. Staff were polite and our family room was really clean and comfortable - no sign of the renovation works mentioned in previous reviews so these seem to be long complete. The complimentary toiletries and snacks were really welcomed as it saved us from digging through our luggage and rushing out for snacks for our tired hungry children the following day. There are no ‘attractions’ in the immediate area and it isn’t scenic - it’s an urban area - but we quite enjoyed having a wander around the neighbourhood whilst we killed some time before heading back to the airport. Once we left the hotel we headed to a local park to let our kids burn off some energy which they quite enjoyed. We decided to accept the hotel’s offer to arrange our transfer from the airport as we were arriving late and didn’t know how simple it would be to organise a transfer on arrival. This was very expensive (25 euros for one way) however I noticed when reading reviews for other hotels in the area that this is a standard rate if you organise a transfer through the hotels. For our return taxi we ordered an Uber from the park which was only around 13 euros (£11) and arrived within minutes. Very easy to book through the app as you would at home. So 5* based on value, comfort and proximity to airport (20mins) but download the Uber app and organise your own transfer to keep costs down.

  Friendly and welcoming hotel staff. Located in close proximity to the airport! Rooms are nice. We liked the Turkish night lamps, very fancy! Overall we recommend this hotel as it is in a good location!

  The hotel was good. We had a family room with 1 queen bed and 2 single bed. The hotel is about 8 km away from the airport. It cost 210 TL from IST to get to the airport.The hotel staff were extremely nice. Ferah checked us in. He spoke English very well and helped us with info about taxi back to the airport. Yusuf brought us to our room and carried our luggage for us. We asked for extra water and extra blankets and each time the staff were great in accommodating our needs..The hotel staff called a yellow taxi (not a private taxi) to IST airport for us and it cost 225 TL Make sure with taxis to ask them to run their meters.We walked around the hotel for a bit at night and there are several restaurants around. There are better restaurant options on the left side of the hotel vs the right side. There are also several convenient stores nearby.Overall, we had a positive experience in this hotel and we will stay there again.
