  Close to major attractions, wonderful hospitality

  I have only the highest praise for Perla Galata. The hotel room was clean, spacious, and affordable. Walk 5-10 min from the hotel and you will find bustling streets of restaurants and shops selling souvenirs. The subway station is also close by (~15 min walk), making it very easy to access all the important attractions. There may have been some traffic noise in the hotel room but that’s to be expected in the heart of Galata - do bring earbuds if you’re a sensitive sleeper. The highlight was the hotel managers, Mr Oktay and Murat. If this is your first time visiting Istanbul, definitely ask them for recommendations - in a city where tourists can feel overwhelmed by tourist traps and expensive prices, they can tell you how to get everything you need: SIM card, taxi rides to the airport, restaurant recommendations. In particular, Mr Oktay made Perla Galata a home away from home for me and my sister. At the end of each day, we were excited to chat with him, sharing our experiences and trading laughter and stories. He has the best restaurant recommendations. He is a truly wonderful host and Turkey was one of my favorite trips because of him. If you are a first time tourist in Istanbul, do not hesitate to book Perla Galata!

  A great stay at the Perla galata hotel.

  My wife and I had a great stay in Istanbul. This hotel is very clean, quiet and very well located. Everything is accessible on foot (metro stations.. bus..ferry..karakoy..galata tower..taksim...sultanahmet..All the staff are attentive and are very welcoming. Especially Mr. Ismael and Mr. Oktay that we have the chance to chat with them. We thank them for everything.The room is very well equipped and cleaned every day. The bedding is comfortable.

  Nothing graceful about this B&B definitely not a hotel

  Do not be fooled by the photographs and claims of refurbishment! It’s not clean, they ask to access the room but no cleaning takes place. The beds are not made properly, the bottomsheet is left for the guests to put on. The towels and linen are damaged some stained.The rooms need redecorating, are much smaller than they appear in the photos . The aircon doesn’t work, hot water is like a lottery. Stay away.

  A warm and friendly place. Although the rooms were a bit smaller than expected everything was cleans and neat. great bathroom and shower amenities. the breakfast was fresh with tons of options and a great view. would definitely recommend.

  Don't spoil your holiday at New Galata Grace hotel. Terrible experience.

  They cancelled our reservation without informing us, didn't respond to our queries on booking.com. Our flight was delayed and the location was difficult to find. It took us a long time to finally figure out where the hotel was. So we reached late and got to know that they had already cancelled the booking. Though the owner is a very rude person, we requested to stay the night and he gave us a small room to accommodate as he had already given the original room that we had booked to someone else. The room was not clean, there was smell of smoke everywhere, and there was no view from the room. We realized that the owner was overcharging us, and was offering the same room at a much lower rate that day. When we spoke to him about it, he denied it. We had proof as we had picked that up from one of the portals. The breakfast was also not good. With the behaviour of the owner, we didn't feel safe at the hotel, and also felt cheated, hence, we decided to cut short our stay and checked out the next day itself instead of staying for 3 days. Would not recommend this to anyone. There are much better hotels available both in Galata and Taksim. Don't spoil your holiday by choosing to stay here.
