  We booked this hotel through another website. When we arrived there was no one at the reception and the lobby looks like storage for old furniture. I haven't seen anyone at the reception anytime I was entering or leaving the hotel even though we were there for 9 days. They also may claim that that they couldn't charge your credit card so they will ask you to pay at the hotel be aware as they may have different rates. We got a room on the 4th floor with no lift. The toilet was very dirty like someone just used it an hour ago. The ceiling was covered in mould and the sink was leaking. There is no one in the hotel that speaks English. One day someone entered our room with the key without any walking to the door or something. he had no English so we were a bit terrified because I could not understand what is he trying to say. I assume I got the worst Room because it was nothing like on the pictures. downstairs there was a nightclub open to 3 a.m. or 6 a.m. depending on the day so you can enjoy techno music till early morning. It's not possible to sleep with the windows open.

  Execellent accomodation in the heart of Istanbul! The receptionist was very helpfull, also the room was clean and with everything necesary like iron, hair dryer! It was the second time i choosed to take Mavi Konak and will choose it every time in Istanbul. Xoxo

  Only one night but a very nice one

  We arrived a bit late to the small street designated on our map. We had only one night in the city. Even though we booked a studio room, the double room was offered to us, but still we insisted on the studio because our was on the 1st floor and we didn't need a bigger room. We didn't regret it though. Small and cozy, very well equipped and we'll maintained. 2 mins walk from Istaklal,10 mins walk from Taksim but still quiet like the suburbs. We enjoyed our night there very much and will probably return.

  Usually we have business meetings in city center, just around taksim and infrequently some of them takes too long. If we feel exhausted we prefer to stay at nearby hotels with last minute bookings. Anyway it was just the case last week and I had a chance to stay at the Mavi Konak Hotel overnight and met with a very passionate staff and savvy manager. They showed interest in all kinds and accompanied with a very nice and fresh breakfast. I don't enjoy hotel dishes because I'd like to see the surrounding habits. But manager insisted a lot and showed a great Turkish hospitality, they collected fresh bagels right from the oven and offered us a very pleased breakfast which surely did make our day. It was a fascinating experience and definitely we'd like to stay again.

  Worst hotel ever

  The Manager is a big liar!Be carful when you make your reservation. They told me i can make my reservation without deposit because they couldn't charge me on my credit card because they don't have a system. And after 1 month they have canceled my reservation without asking me. I told them its ok keep my reservation i will transfer the money through the bank she refused to give me the same rate. She wanted to charge me double the amount.
