The hotel enjoys a fantastic location in the heart of the bustling city centre, just 150 metres from Taksim Square and its many shops, restaurants and bars. There are transport links to other areas of the city within a few metres, and the nightlife of Beyoğlu is an 8-minute walk away. The Bosphorus Straits are a 20-minute walk from the hotel and the sights of Sultanahmet, including Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace, are 25 minutes away on public transport. Izmir is an hour-and-a-half away by car.

Facility

The hotel has 21 single rooms and 28 double rooms, which are located on 9 storeys and are reachable by lift. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. A baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can relax and enjoy the sea views from the balcony or private terrace of some rooms. All rooms are carpeted and have a double bed, a queen-size bed, a king-size bed or a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available.     Ok room but that’s it

    The room is OK. It was clean. However the breakfast is just a few pieces of fry bread and old cheeses and some really bad cooked eggs. How could you not know how to cook eggs? The area is good and if you decide to stay here do yourself a favor and have breakfast at one of the nearby restaurants intend to not destroy your day. They offer cherry juice for their “breakfast” but if you want anything else to drink they charge you up heavily. Istanbul is full of hotels, recommend to go somewhere else.

    Unfortunately, the hotel is extremely old and everything needs to be renovation! -Housekeeping not cleaning well and they never checked towels etc well found dirty towels…-The wifi not good at all why are most customers using their own data roaming this means more money is wasted! But if you happy to use it in the general area it's okay.-check-in and out terrible very rude lady she's toxic just sharing a moody and negative energy! -also safety issues electric light switch just inside your bed! Not joking just behind your pillows its super unsafe if any electricity issue directly creates fire!-only good part location and Night shift receptionist Mr YavuzSo must check alternative hotels before book this hotel!!!     "It is really difficult for a hotel in Istanbul, especially in Taksim, to be both economical and good. Although Germir Palace receives points for its very comfortable rooms, excellent location, and wonderful breakfast, the real points are deserved by the staff and management who work hard and act like hosts.     Stayed here for the last couple of nights while visiting for a football trip, great location on taksim square, plenty of bars round the corner and right opposite the metro station.Staff were friendly and really helpful, rooms were clean and today and really reasonable on price. Would stay again.     I’ve been to istanbul more than 20 times and this is my 3rd straight stay at Germir palas. I love the hotel, great location, clean rooms and spacious. It feels like home. I would like to say a huge thank you to the housekeeping staff, Sakine & Nermin, who were amazing and thoughtful, they took great care of us. Also, a huge thank you to Ali, who is always helpful and he always makes sure we get the best rooms. Another thank you to Okkes and Atakkan, both lovely lads, always greeting us with a smile.
