Location

These suites are located in the lower area of the Sultanahmet district, just a 5-minute walk from the Blue Mosque. The other major attractions in the area, such as the Sultanahmet tourist centre (50 m), the nearest restaurants and the Blue Mosque (both some 400 m), the Marmaris Sea (400 m), the Underground Cistern (500 m) and St Sophia (600 m) are all within close proximity. It is only about 800 m to Topkapi Palace and there is a tramline with access to other parts of the city. Guests will find the Grand Bazaar and Sirkeci railway station about 1.5 km from the property, while the nearest bars and nightspots are some 4 km and the city centre (Taksim Square) is about 5 km from the accommodation.

Facility

5 junior suites and 11 suites are located on 5 storeys and can be reached by lift. English- and German-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops as well. Additional amenities include a TV room and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park for a fee.     We have booked this through Lastminute.com. I have paid more than £ 5,000 for 9 nights at this Hotel and flight to and from London Gatwick. The Hotel was described as '5 Star' by Lastminute.com. It became immediately evident upon arrival that this Hotel was anything but 5 Star. The room [room 101] was tiny with no shelves or drawers to put clothes, and when we opened the bathroom door, there was such a terrible stench coming out, that we nearly threw up. We asked the Hotel whether they have any other rooms available, they showed us two more rooms, but unfortunatley the one room that would have been suitable was not available to for the whole duration of our stay, and moving rooms halfway through out stay was out of the question. As we had not yet unpacked, we decided to look for a different Hotel, which we knew was going to be difficult, to find a Hotel at such short notice who could accommodate us for 9 nights, particularly since this also included New Year's eve and New Year's day. Luckily we did find a suitable Hotel, they even sent a limo and driver to collect us. The new Hotel cost us an other £ 3,500 for the 9 nights, but was absolutely uncomparable to the GLK Premier Regency Suites. So we left the GLK without having unpacked, although we had prepaid for 9 nights, I just could not possbily subject my wife to such a room.

    Arrived earlier than anticipated so was in room on 1st floor, room was fine with shower, we had expected a room with a view when we moved rooms the next day, unfortunately another brick wall, very noisy from guests upstairs, breakfast very cramped and not a lot of choice.     A great place to stay in Istanbul, close to everything, and very helpful staff

    We wanted to just stay in Istanbul for 2 weeks to get to know the city, by walking around, taking their superb public transport (ferry, tram, metro - not once used an uber). This hotel's location and awesome customer service from the manager, and all staff were fabulous. The location is truly a few minutes from the major mosques you will want to see, Topkapi Palace and the Cisterns and both the main bazar and the Egyptian (Spice bazar) all within easy walking distance. We took the ferry twice to the Asian side with ease and it costs nothing compared to the U.S. I was very impressed with this great country with one, if not the most beautiful cities in the world, Istanbul. The people at this hotel such as Huseyn and Adam and Emir and Ali, Aisha were the most friendly and kind people and very helpful and informative. Loved the small scale of this wonderful hotel. Special thanks to the thoughtful manager Mr. Hudaverdi that was always available to assist in anyway possible. We really enjoyed this trip because of where we stayed.     Friendly Staff and a Pleasant Stay

    An amazing and comfortable stay at the GLK Regency with brilliant service from all staff. Special thanks to Huseyin, Ali, Adem and Emir for being so helpful and kind throughout our time there. They were so accommodating for our 2 and half year old son and made every effort to make sure we had everything we needed. The superior room was nice and big, perfect space for our little one! The hotel is in a nice location on a lively street with many mini supermarkets and restaurants and a very short walk to the blue mosque. Overall a wonderful and pleasant stay here.

    Great staffs, hotel was clean, convenient location next to everything! One step down to so many restaurants and shops. 6 minutes walk to the blue Mosque and 20 minutes to Grand Bazar. The hotel is small but very helpful and breakfast was good too!
