Location

The city hotel is only a 10-minute walk from some of Istanbul's top sights, including the Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Egyptian Market, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace. The hotel offers great public transport links too, with a tram stop and a bus stop just around the corner. The train station and the restaurants, bars and nightlife spots of Taksim are all approximately a 10-minute ride on public transport.

Facility

The hotel has 62 non-smoking rooms, which are located on 10 storeys and are reachable by 2 lifts. English- and German-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Services such as a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. Additional facilities include a newspaper stand. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park (for a fee).     Golden City HotelOutstanding hospitality. I accidentally left my phone in a taxi, and the hotel manager, Ali, went above and beyond to help me. He contacted the taxi company, involved the police, tracked down the driver, and made sure my phone was returned. Without his effort, I would never have gotten it back.The staff truly care about their guests and can be trusted completely.     The best room (903) with a panoramic view of the Keratios bay, in whole Istanbul. The hotel staff is very kind and helpful. We especially want to thank Mr. Ali Celik who made every effort and satisfied our requests. Situated at a very central location from where you can walk to many attractions. It is very clean and the breakfast is very good with high quality.     We spent a week in this cozy hotel in Istanbul and enjoyed a perfect stay. Had a wonderful room with a stunning view and enjoyed a great breakfast on the roof terrace. The location itself is perfect, just a walk away from Galata, the Tünnel and the Spice Bazar.
