    Terrible stay!We stayed for six days in this 3-star hotel in Istanbul with a rating of 8.5, but it was awful.The bathroom was extremely dirty — hair everywhere and mold! The room smelled musty and was just filthy. The towels weren’t white but grayish.And then the breakfast…It says “international breakfast” on the website? Well, it was terrible! Too lazy to even make an omelet. Just a few pieces of tomato and some jam, that’s it.Definitely not worth an 8.5 — a poor 5 at best.

    I had booked Grand Mark Hotel for my clients for 2 nights from 9th - 11th NovI have had previous good experience with the hotel but this time it was pathetic and strangely the hotel refused basic services to my guests.They arrived at 9am at the property, naturally early check-in had to be done for a fee. Not complaining for that.But the issue started as they entered the room. The flush in the toilet was not working and the hotel didn't bother to get that repaired in 3 days, they didn't offer another room to the guest so that they can be comfortable, Even the entire room had only 1 functional light which is very very bad as well.Coming to the breakfast. Turkish hotels generally have a lavish buffet layout. But Grand Mark had a small buffet with literally no cold cuts. Very disappointing. Over and above that, they refused the vegetarian guest an extra bowl of meal for his cereal or the other guest an extra piece of egg. What kind of service is that? If it is a buffet, how can there be a restriction on how much a person wants to eat? A person maynot want toast and want to have a heavy breakfast with milk and cornflakes.. .. I will ensure that I and my other colleagues stop selling this property

    We had a 14 hour layover in Istanbul so I researched hotels which would allow us to check in at 6 am. The Grand Mark Hotel was our choice. We were looking for a place to clean up and rest during the layover. The lobby of the hotel was very clean and the hotel manager was extremely polite and helpful. The location was on a side street but within walking distance of the major Istanbul sights. The rooms were small but very clean. The price was extremely low, so low that I was worried the rooms surely would be in poor condition. I was pleasantly surprised. I would not hesitate booking this hotel again. I give it the 5 star 'excellent' rating. While not the fanciest or roomiest hotel it definitely was a super value and provided us with a very comfortable stay.

    on first arriving, i was thinking omg what have i done , in the main street, on entering reception was small but clean had settees and chairs also nice reception desk, which i found the people on desk very helpful, was computer with internet connection.although nicely decorated could do with updatingstairs and lift to upper floors, i used lift be it very small 2 people comfortable 3 bit close no problem with lift at all work lovely room was not small but not over big 1 double bed 1 single, built in wardrobe,be4d side table with wall lights, dressing table, fridge which was not great didnt shut properly and got very hot, mirror with socket, and shelves plenty of clothe space.bathroom small but ok shower water could do with be hotter, sink nice cbainet over sink and light and hairdryer, toilet worked fine, was pleased with room but again could do with lick of paint.view was looking out into the street but oppersite was a burnt out building but hey who looks out the window all day. was lovely to see the hussle and bussle of the day and night , lots of shops near by and a bank with a atm was close to everything trams taxis it did help that we had a guy who we met on holiday as a guide took us to blue mosaic. the grand bazar and on a boat trip fantastic trip lovd istanbul watching people praying and got used of the noise calling people to prayer over all i was impressed with istanbul, the hotel and the friendliness of people would go again, but i would get a guide to show me around againhotal does room and breakfast onlu, but plenty of food places to eat at and very cheap

    Second time staying at the hotel and a great stay as always. The hotel is in a good location, within waking distance from metro and the Blue mosque and other tourist attractions All the Staff are very helpful and so welcoming. Rooms are cleaned everyday. Beds very comfy. Nothing major but would be great if the rooms had tea/ coffee facilities. Be back soon
