  Excellent value for tourism

  My wife and I stayed a week and a half. This hotel isn't fancy, but it does have a number of important characteristics that made it a wise choice. 1. Location: situated near several public transportation stops, just outside the really touristy area. This makes transportation easier, as well as provides other benefits. For example, the local restaurants and shops around the hotel are ones that locals visit, so they're less expensive (and less pretentious). Note: English language proficiency drops significantly outside the tourist spots, so prepare accordingly. 2. Staff: Everyone we interacted with had an excellent attitude, and worked very diligently. The head chef frequently checked the breakfast buffet, to ensure quality and availability of offerings. The desk staff all had insight on local conditions, providing good advice on having a good experience and avoiding rip-offs. We particularly appreciated Görken. 3. Value: There are hotels closer to the touristy area (Hilton even has a property that sits in the shadow of Hagia Sophia), and ones that have more amenities, yet it's hard to beat this Hampton's total value for the regular tourist couple or family. We used local supermarkets and the nearby laundromat to improve the quality of our stay. I highly recommend this location for budget-conscious tourists (whether individuals, couples, or families). Because it lacks a lounge, spa, and business center, it might not be the best choice for business travelers.

  Warm Hospitality & Perfect Location in Istanbul

  I spent four days traveling in Turkey and stayed at this hotel. The service was incredibly warm and friendly, and the location is very convenient! The T1 line right outside the door goes directly to the scenic spots. The hotel has complete facilities, is clean and tidy, and the breakfast is delicious.Most importantly, the hotel staff are extremely hospitable and very thoughtful! Highly recommended!Special thanks to FERHAT, DEVRAN, SALIH and ARDA for making me feel right at home. They provided great convenience and assistance during my trip, and I am truly grateful.

  Great stay at the Hampton by Hilton Istanbul Old City. The proximity to the tram was ideal since we were able to go to Kadıköy in the Asian part on arrival. Short distance to the main landmarks such as the Grand Bazaar and Blue Mosque, restaurants, and shops. The reception staff was friendly, professional, and very helpful. Our room was fantastic with a great view of the city and one of the Mosques. The room had all the amenities needed, coffee maker, water, toiletries and it had a great space. The complimentary breakfast was amazing and delicious with everything you can think of for a perfect Turkish breakfast. My family and I will definitely stay here again.
