    Worst hotel ever

    rating14 Nov 2023

We booked this “wannabe"hotel based on the good reviews written on “Booking.com”, but it was a terrible experience.First of all, the hotel is located on a hill, in a dangerous area surrounded by mountains of garbage and shady people.Secondly, after we made the check-in we were offered two economy rooms instead of two standard rooms, which we reserved. We tried to explain the reception guy that we booked another room, and he was keep lying us, that this is the standard room which we reserved even through we saw the pictures from Booking.com that this was the economy room!!!The rooms were terrible, not more than 10 square meters, with old and broken furniture, and a smelly bathroom. After keep complaining about this garbage rooms they offered to change only one of the rooms, due to “fully occupancy”, the next day.The next day, when we came to the reception we spoke with a grumpy man, which he did not now anything about this change and he was rude and angry. He lied us that the hotel is fully booked and he doesn’t have rooms available to change us the room. After keep complaining about the situation he changed us on of the rooms room with the room that we reserved, a standard one. Moreover, the breakfast was good but everything came into small quantity. We had to ask everytime to make the refill for coffee, milk, cheese and bread, making us feel uncomfortable. The only good thing about this hotel, was a friendly employee, named Ibrahim, who was customer oriented and very helpful. The reception guys should learn from him how to treat the customers! To sum up, please a kid this hotel! It is a scam and they will ruin your holiday!

DO NOT STY IN THE ANNEX! First time i have walked out of a hotel.

    rating14 Sept 2022

Where to start. Some of my complaints about apt 5 in the annex go from the serious to the minor but all added up to one of the worst rooms I have stayed in (and I don't stay in fancy places).• Opened the blinds and two men in underwear were 4 metres away in the building opposite lying on their bed staring at us (blinds had to be kept closed. • There seems to be no fire escape from the building I don't know how you would get out. I spent most of the night waking up thinking of this as the only access is a spiral staircase. • The terrace is not private as advertised for apt 5, anyone can access it and indeed did while we were there at night time. Also, it just has some seats and no shelter so you would be boiled alive during the day.• The electrics in the room was not adequate, the kettle could to even reach so we had to put it between the beds. The socket in the bathroom was coming off the wall.• No glasses in the room and when I lifted one of the coffee cups it was sticky and stuck to the saucer. • The beds are of very cheap quality and you get one very thin blanket. The third bed was an even cheaper camp bed it barely took the weight of our bag on it. • While it was warm in the room we had to turn off the aircon as it blew directly on the beds and indeed my friend got cramp in both legs because of it. • They supply shampoo and other things in the bathroom but there is no where to put them in the shower as the holder is rubbish and they just fall through, • The pedal bin in the bathroom was broken and no toilet roll on the holder (why was the holder there then?). The sink was tiny you can hardly fit anything on it and it was hard to even wash your hands, nowhere to put towels apart from 2 hooks on the back of the door but then there was nowhere to put a hand towel which we just put hanging on the sink door. • Noise at night was a nightmare, the door are heavy and metal and you can hear every person coming and going. Has anyone who works in the hotel actually stayed in this room??We were booked in for four nights and had to stay the first night as we had arrived late. We went out to get food but the area around it does not welcome tourists (especially at night) and when we moved hotels we felt a lot safer. We left immediately after breakfast which wasn’t great either, to be honest (But not the worst). The annex apt 5 was not cheaper than the main hotel and I chose it solely on the terrace but it was a complete waste and it does not look like it does in the pictures on the website.I have never walked out of a hotel before and I have tried contacting the hotel to address my concerns but I have had no response which is disappointing as the staff did seem nice. Maybe the main hotel was nice but there was no other room to move to so it wasn’t an option. We moved to a nicer area near the main mosques and it wasn’t any more expensive than this hotel. I had come from travelling around Georgia and this was much worse than any hotel there.

    Exceptional Gem

    rating03 Jul 2022

Gorgeous hotel with amazing views from the pool and balcony. The staff were outstandingly attentive and welcoming. There was a lovely spread each morning for breakfast which we very much enjoyed. About 10 minutes from the Spice Bazaar and the Galatar bridge - so a fabulous location. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Istanbul, the value for money is amazing.
