  Great Hotel for our visit to Istanbul

  Currently staying whilst daughter undergoes surgery here in Turkey. Was apprehensive at first as not sure what to expect. However, pleasantly surprised and impressed by the hotel; the staff are courteous, extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is very large and imposing, impressively presented and the rooms are clean, well decorated and equipped. We have been extremely impressed by the hospitality at breakfast; an impressive array of hot and cold food; Traditional Turkish fare and European cuisine is available. Fresh fruit, salads, assorted breads and cereals, cooked food and hot and cold drinks are plentiful. We have eaten dinner in the restaurant and have been equally impressed by the quality of the food. Istanbul is a beautiful, crazy and vibrant place to visit and The Hilton is an excellent hotel to stay for the duration of our visit. Would thoroughly recommend.

  Not Suitable for Guests Staying for Medical Reasons

  We stayed at Hilton Istanbul Kozyatağı for eight nights due to my mother’s surgery and recovery period. We specifically chose this hotel because it works with nearby hospitals and expected a comfortable and safe environment. Unfortunately, this turned out to be one of the most disappointing five-star hotel experiences we have ever had.The most concerning situation happened when my mother’s fever and blood pressure suddenly increased in the evening. When we requested a blood pressure monitor from reception, we were told that the hotel did not have one available. Eventually, a device was brought from the SPA area. For a hotel that accommodates guests staying for medical reasons, not having such basic equipment readily available is unacceptable. When we asked about fever-reducing medication, the response was indifferent and there was no attempt to assist or guide us.The room conditions were also far below five-star standards. There was a heavy, old smell in the room and a strong sewage odor coming from the bathroom. Curtains and armchairs looked dirty, furniture was worn out, and maintenance was clearly lacking. The bathroom drawer was broken, and the hair dryer was in very poor condition. Even the room layout was impractical, with the kettle set placed next to the bed, leaving no proper space for personal belongings.Considering the Hilton brand and the price paid, this experience was extremely disappointing. Especially for guests staying due to health reasons, this hotel does not provide the level of comfort or reassurance expected from a five-star property. Eight nights felt far longer than they should have, and overall it was a very frustrating stay.

  Perfect business hotel location for business district around Asia side of Istanbul

  Very great location for the business district on the Asia side of Istanbul. Staff is extraordinarily kind. Fully functional gym and workout areas were very very good, one of the best I have seen, it’s a fully functional spa and gym, staff at the fitness area are really friendly. The room and the cleaning staff were always on top of everything, had a really enjoyable dinner as well at the restaurant. Overall, very satisfied with the visit, will definitely stay again the next time I am going back for business.

  This was a mixed experience for what is advertised as a five-star hotel.On the positive side, the staff were absolutely amazing—consistently polite, helpful, and professional throughout our stay. The lobby and surrounding public areas were also impressive and very much in line with five-star expectations.However, several aspects let the stay down. While the rooms were clean and comfortable, they did not feel like five-star quality overall. A major issue was the temperature: the rooms were very hot, and at that time of year the air conditioning could not be adjusted to cool them down. Unfortunately, the hotel was also unable to provide a fan, which made this particularly disappointing.Food was another weak point. Although the quality was decent, it was not what I would expect from a five-star hotel. Additionally, every meal I had—both in the restaurant and through room service—was served lukewarm rather than hot.Overall, the stay was pleasant thanks largely to the excellent staff, but with improvements to room comfort and food quality, this hotel could truly live up to its five-star rating. At present, I would personally rate it as a solid four-star experience rather than five.

  During my stay as a lone female traveller, I experienced repeated instances where my personal boundaries were overstepped in ways that were inappropriate and uncomfortable.This included a waiter asking intrusive questions about my personal life, bar staff serving a coffee presented in a deliberately phallic shape while laughing, and unprofessional gossiping among younger front desk staff. I find it difficult to believe that a male business traveller would have been treated in the same manner.Service standards also fell well below expectations for a five-star hotel. Room service food arrived cold on two occasions, and basic details were repeatedly overlooked, such as missing spoons with coffee and ice buckets delivered without tongs.Most concerning was the response to my complaint. No apology was offered, and instead my concerns were dismissed with the conclusion that nothing inappropriate had occurred. This felt dismissive and reflective of gaslighting behaviour, giving the impression that brand protection was prioritised over acknowledging a guest’s lived experience.Overall, both the conduct during my stay and the handling of my complaint were deeply disappointing and fell far short of the standards I would expect from Hilton.
