  Staff unaccommodating and discriminatory. Felt awful and awkward. Made to feel unwelcomed. Micro aggressions and unconscious bias. Not rushing to return.   Nice base to explore Istanbul

  Nice Hotel to explore Istanbul Location is excellent, 5 minutes walk from Aksaray Tram Station, you can take the T1 to all the historical sites like Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Galata Tower and the Ferry terminal at Eminonu. The Grand Bazaar is only 15 minutes walk and there are lots of food options. The Old City Kebap shop across the road serves some really nice Kebab rolls, very tasty, so try and have that one evening.Hotel is clean and comfortable, with a nice Hammam and Sauna.We had 2 rooms for 5 people and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was good, and the staff were nice. We were able to get a 2pm checkout as an IHG Rewards member.   Location and staff make for an enjoyable city break.

  The location and staff were excellent. Very close to metro line direct to the historic sites. Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was varied, with fresh food.   ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Holiday Inn Istanbul Old City – A Hidden Gem in the Heart of IstanbulThe Holiday Inn Istanbul Old City is truly a gem in a district where there seems to be a hotel on every corner. Conveniently located in the Old City, it’s just a 12-minute walk from the Grand Bazaar and Istanbul University, while other major attractions such as the Sultanahmet Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Galata Tower, and Basilica Cistern are only a few stops away to reach most of the city’s iconic sites.After a full day of sightseeing, we loved relaxing in the comfortable hotel lobby. The bedrooms were spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable — a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. Breakfast each morning was world-class, with a wonderful variety of fresh food and drinks that catered to all tastes.There’s an old adage that says “a business is only as good as its people”, and this hotel certainly lives up to that. We received excellent service from every team member throughout our stay. Two individuals in particular deserve special mention: Fatih and Cigdem.Fatih, who managed the reception desk, was always impeccably presented and assisted us in the most professional and courteous manner. Cigdem was an absolute delight — she seemed to work across all areas of the hotel, from breakfast service to the lobby lounge. Always attentive and genuinely interested in the guests, she went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. She is a real asset to the hotel and should be recognized for her dedication and warmth.In summary, the Holiday Inn Istanbul Old City is a fantastic hotel — conveniently located, beautifully maintained, and staffed by exceptional people.   We had a pleasant stay to Holiday Inn Old City for 7 nights. The hotel is located in the heart of the city, 5 minutes walk to tram, 15 minutes walk to Vezneciler metro station. It's very easy to walk to Suleymanyie Mosque, Grand Bazar, Eminonu district and Galata Bridge. Although the hotel is a center located one, there is a quiet zone and we enjoyed good sleep. We booked a room for 3 guests (Executive room), but when we arrived the third bed wasn't ready and we had only 2 cups for tea/coffee. So we had to wait the housekeeping to make the bed. The third bed was a broken sofa (the support foot was broken) and in the third day of our stay the stuff put a small chair under the sofa to support it. Breakfast is DELICIOUS, wonderful, very very tasty and diverse... 5 BIG stars for breakfast and for the restaurant staff which is very helpful and kind. I can't say anything about the sauna, we didn't use it. Overall, our stay to Holiday Inn Old City was great and we enjoyed our holiday.
