    Okay. Some issues.

This hotel is fine for a short stay as it's basic with few amenities. There's no bar or restaurant however they do offer breakfast. The beds are quite hard and the rooms can be cramped depending on which one you get. The nicer rooms are on the higher floors. There's no lift so be aware of this, and this located on a hill as many hotels in this area are. We were on the first floor overlooking the street and were unable to keep the window open because the staff smoke on the doorstep and the smoke comes straight into the room. The air-conditioning didn't work and the TV has no English language channels - which isn't the end of the world but I like to have background noise when I'm getting ready etc. Speaking of noise, on the first floor you can hear everything from the surrounding rooms and the corridor, and I do mean everything, we could hear coughing and chat from other rooms as though it was in our room, every sound from the street, and could hear heated discussions between staff who were downstairs. Breakfast isn't good here, the staff don't replenish items that run out, the simit is torn into little pieces and the basket isn't refilled but the staff sit in the dining area eating whole ones whilst the paying guests are left with empty baskets. I came down on the last day before leaving and watched the cook come and check the food levels, she looked at her watch and there was 45 minutes of breakfast left and didn't replenish anything despite more guests arriving to eat, in fact she started scraping tomatoes and other salad items away and removing them. I wouldn't return here, but should say that the hotel cat is lovely and likes to sit in your lap.

    Great location

    rating29 Oct 2025

This hotel was in a great location, central to the old town with all its attractions and the river was close for ferry rides. The staff were very helpful in arranging transfers and tours. The room was very and clean and compact like most city hotels. The breakfast was lovely.

    Great place to stay ….

Great hotel, clean and spacious. Walking distance to the square and Ayia Sophia. Staff were very helpful and always full of suggestions. Breakfast was amazing. Don’t forget to have a Turkish coffee with it (extra). Great start to the day. They recommend the Turkish bath… it’s a must!

    Fantastic & wonderful hotel

    rating12 Sept 2024

We travelled as a family of 8 - across 3 generations. We LOVED our stay here: the hotel is small, rooms are compact but with beautiful en suites & everything is clean & neat. Staff were extremely friendly & accommodating & helped out whenever we needed it. For our elderly mother waiting for 2 knee replacements the access was an issue (located on a hill) & no lift, but that would be the only consideration. We loved it so much, along with the fabulous cat - named "Noopy" by my nephew & daughter (Snoopy) & we will definitely look to stay here again when returning to Istanbul. Location is fantastic to see all of the city & so close to the Blue Mosque & Hagia Sophia.

    Not worthy, rude staff

    rating23 Jul 2024

I want to share my brief experience at this facility. Initially, they refused to refund me despite proof of non-entry to the country. Despite attempts from Expedia and direct messages, they showed no flexibility. However, they did agree to reschedule my stay.Upon arrival, the reception directed us to a room that looked nothing like the pictures on Expedia – it was really tiny. We accepted it, but later, when I took a shower, water leaked under the door and even went outside the room. When we called the reception, the staff member was rude, insinuating that we didn't know how to shower and even raising his voice. Despite showing him the issue with the door's isolation, he claimed he had never encountered this problem before. He acknowledged it was their mistake only after one day when I showed him the problem again. He offered us another room on the first floor, but it was very noisy due to its proximity to the shops. When we asked to return to our initial room, he was rude again, claiming that we had used two rooms.Regarding cleanliness, the drapes were clean.Overall, I'd like to thank the blonde girl who showed great empathy and the guy who helped us to our room initially. Unfortunately, the other staff member's behavior cost you this bad review.
