  Great experience at this Fantastic Hotel

  Stayed at this wonderful Hotel for 7 nights, with my wife and 3 daughters. Had a great stay, staff are amazing, located at the heart of Istanbul, surrounded by magnificent architecture and restaurants. Hotel is very clean and the staff are extremely helpful and a special thanks to Erkan Kardash and Aslan Bey who made the stay so easy and comfortable. The rooms are cleaned daily and breakfast has a good selection. The hotel has its own exchange bureau and offer fantastic rates. My exchange rate from the UK was 50 Liras to the £1 however the hotel was offering 55 Liras to the £. From the hotel Topkapi Palace, Gulhane Park, Hagia Sofia, Sultan Ahmet (Blue Mosque) are 5-10mins walk. There is host of restaurant selection literally outside the hotel. Would definitely recommend.

  Well a lot to this review . The experience itself was amazing. The breakfast buffet had something for everyone. The staff very professional, friendly and helpful. The entire facility was always clean. The location was perfect and within walking distance in Old Instanbul to all of the historical sites. I left an item and the staff promptly contacted me and made arrangements to have it sent. Apologies on my part for the confusion over delivery. Great communication before, during and after the stay. Thank you: Mr. Mohamed, Mr. IIham, Mr. Fuat, Mr.Arif (thank you twice!), Mr. Safak, and Mr. Numan.

  This hotel is placed ideally for the Topkapi Palace, Haigia Sophia, Blue Mosque and other visitor attractions in that area. There is a tram stop at the corner which is great for getting you to the ferry terminals if you don’t wish to walk there, or near the Grand Bazaar, Sulimaniye Mosque in the other direction. The journeys are very short. We arrived in the middle of the night and were met by one of the reception staff who took our suitcases as the taxi driver could not park on the street. Check in was very swift and efficient. Breakfast is a great variety of continental Turkish fare, with four hot options daily. However if you are expecting a ‘full English’, you will be disappointed. Always a great variety of cold meats, cheeses, olives, breads, cakes etc. The hotel is scrupulously clean. Our towels were changed daily, bedding refreshed regularly and the floors mopped daily too. A small fridge, room safe and air-conditioning are included as well as two bottles of water daily. Despite the hotel being on a busy street with trams running past, we were never disturbed by the noise. There were only some minor niggles: lack of plug sockets. I require the use of a medical device at night and there was no available plug socket or indeed bedside table on my side of the bed. I had looked at all the photographs of the rooms on the website, all of which appeared to have a socket at each side of the bed, so at 2.30am when we arrived, this threw me slightly. We had also brought double travel plus with usb charging sockets but were unable to use these as the wall sockets had lift up covers. The lack of a bedside table at my side of the bed meant that I had to put my spectacles and book on the floor when I switched off the light so had to be careful not to stand on them in the morning. The slot for the keycard flashed with a bright blue light all night so we had to cover it with some fabric to try and block it out. This could have been an issue to anyone sensitive to flashing lights. We had to climb a quite steep set of stairs which didn’t have a hand rail, to get to the lift on the side of the building where our room was. This could have been an issue for anyone with mobility problems. However, despite these minor niggles, the best thing about this hotel are the reception and kitchen staff who are so pleasant, and can’t do enough for you. They are a real asset to this hotel. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel, firstly for its location, and secondly for the lovely staff.

  Perfect hotel for perfect holiday!

  Ten days ago our family of four stayed in the Hotel Black Pearl, family suite.Everything was excellent from the moment we checked in until we left. Our room was spacious, spotless, comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. The breakfast had an rich assortment of savoury and sweet meals, with an endless supply of coffee, tea.. (even at midnight they will serve you a hot coffee or tea)Location is perfect, it is close to all attractions, Gulhane tram station is just 2 minutes far from the hotel and Metro station 5 minutes, also a lot of shops and restaurants around. Now, the most important part, staff was amazing, so kind and polite, attentive and helpful, always ready to answer any questions.I highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely return to Hotel Black Pearl!

  Great location, great and helpful stuff .rooms very clean , breakfast fantastic and tasty , there is a travel agency at the entrance with great stuff , with all you need for sightseeing and tours . Internet good
